Job Description

Graphic designers will utilise graphic design skills and be responsible for creating and communicating ideas that inform, inspire and captivate consumers. Using computer software or by hand, a graphic designer will create the production design/designing creative content and layout for multiple visual communications mediums such as adverts, branding, publicity materials and magazine layouts. Graphic Designer Job Responsibilities: \xe2\x80\xa2 Plans and illustrates concepts by designing rough layouts of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetics. \xe2\x80\xa2 Coordinates with internal teams, including marketing, in the design concept phase through completion of a project. \xe2\x80\xa2 Obtains approval of concepts by preparing rough layouts for review. \xe2\x80\xa2 Prepares final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art. \xe2\x80\xa2 Obtains final copy and art by operating typesetting, printing, and similar equipment and by making purchases from vendors when required. \xe2\x80\xa2 Coordinates with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc. to complete projects. \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintains technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; and participating in professional societies. Graphic Designer Qualifications/Skills: \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong graphic design skills, layout and analytical skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Creativity \xe2\x80\xa2 Flexibility \xe2\x80\xa2 Attention to detail \xe2\x80\xa2 Deadline-oriented \xe2\x80\xa2 Desktop publishing tools and graphic design software \xe2\x80\xa2 Acute vision \xe2\x80\xa2 Handles rejection \xe2\x80\xa2 The ability to meet tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment. \xe2\x80\xa2 Good interpersonal and communication skills. Education and Experience Requirements: - Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in graphic design, industrial design, or interior design, or equivalent experience - Two to five years of experience in graphic design
