A Group Accountant job has become available at a global logistics company based in Petaling Jaya.

About the Group Accountant Role:
As the Group Accountant, you will mainly be responsible for the preparation of group consolidated financial statements, management of group intercompany function, and maintaining full set of accounts for the holding company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare statutory consolidated financial statements for the group
• Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements and reports for the group
• Import intercompany trade vendor invoices for all subsidiaries
• Perform monthly intercompany reconciliations and settlements for the group
• Maintain a full set of accounts for the holding company
• Undertake ad hoc tasks as required by superior from time to time

To succeed in this Group Accountant role, you must be proactive, self-motivated and meticulous.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree in accounting with professional accounting qualification in ACCA/CPA or equivalent
• Minimum of three years of related work experience with multi-currency financial consolidation and bookkeeping skills
• Knowledge of accounting and deferred tax principles
• Strong knowledge of and hands-on experience in the preparation of consolidated financial statements
• Ability to interpret accounting standards
• Experience maintaining full set of accounts
• Knowledge of accounting software systems
• Microsoft Office skills
• Must be proficient in written and spoken English. Ability to converse in Mandarin, Cantonese and Malay is an added advantage due to the nature of the role
• Good planning and interpersonal skills
