We're Hiring: Group Chief Operating Officer (GCOO)!



We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Group Chief Operating Officer (GCOO) to lead and oversee the strategic and operational functions of

our client

across the Property and Plantations divisions. This role supports the Group CEO and Board of Directors in the formulation and execution of business plans, ensuring regulatory compliance and driving sustainable growth, profitability, and governance excellence.

The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge and hands-on experience in property development and master planning for large-scale township projects, with the ability to contribute effectively across divisions.
Primarily involved in the Property division and secondarily in the Plantation division to support overall business objectives.

1. Corporate Oversight



Support Management in strategic planning, direction, and control of the Group's overall operations and management activities. Formulate and implement short- and long-term business strategies aligned with the Group's vision, mission, and objectives. Ensure adherence to corporate governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and best practices. Provide oversight on corporate risk management, compliance, and integration of sustainability initiatives across all business divisions.

2. Property Division



Lead the development and execution of township masterplans and operating plans, including budgeting, project timelines, and sales targets. Develop and drive sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue growth and market expansion goals. Monitor market trends and direct market research to inform strategic decisions. Manage stakeholder relationships including consultants, partners, and government agencies. Oversee brand management, corporate communications, and media engagement to strengthen corporate reputation.

3. Plantation Division



Drive operational excellence and profitability across plantation estates. Ensure compliance with agricultural standards, environmental regulations, and sustainability benchmarks. Implement productivity-enhancing initiatives and monitor performance against KPIs. Collaborate with technical teams and external advisors to optimize yield and resource utilization.

4. Conservation and Partnership Initiatives



Coordinate and secure patrol operations within designated land areas to prevent poaching and illegal activities. Identify and allocate land for wildlife corridors to facilitate natural wildlife movement and food access. Explore opportunities to obtain sustainability certifications and recognition for conservation efforts. Implement carbon offset initiatives to support environmental sustainability and carbon neutrality goals. Develop eco-tourism collaborations focusing on sustainability and community benefits. Conduct joint site visits with company directors and stakeholders to assess potential and align conservation strategies.

5. Governance & Communications



Liaise with the Company Secretary and Secretariat on matters pertaining to the Board of Directors, including coordination of AGM/EGM proceedings and statutory disclosure. Develop internal and external communication strategies to support business objectives and stakeholder engagement. Attend to any other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors.

What We're Looking For:



BSc/BA in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related field; MSc/MA preferred Command of English and Chinese language Minimum 20 years in property development and township master planning Proven track record in managing multi-sector operations, especially in property and plantation industries. Strong business acumen and technical knowledge. High integrity, proactive leadership, and strategic thinking. Excellent negotiation, organizational, and communication skills. Oversee operations and performance of the Human Resources & Administration, Legal, and Internal Secretariat Departments upon confirmation.

Salary



Base Salary: RM50k - RM60K
