Job Purpose *

The Head of Strategic Business Solution Designer is responsible for leading strategic business initiatives in Technology like Next Gen BizChannel and other key strategic projects.

He/She required to work closely with the Executive teams from both Technology and Business, to successfully deliver the strategic benefits, across a complex business landscape.

Key Responsibilities *

The primary role of a Strategic Business Solution Designer is to: * Define and maintain the overall IT architecture in line with IT strategy

• Determine the architecture decisions and systems solution guidelines in IT implementation
• Provide guidance on the resolution of implementation issues in accordance with IT architectural standards

The responsibilities of a Strategic Business Solution Designer are to: * Be the business Subject Matter Expertise in the assigned portfolio

• Analyse and translate business requirements into IT systems solutions for implementation taking into consideration functional and non-functional requirements
• Work with IT Delivery to develop and maintain a pragmatic IT Strategy that is focused on delivering value to CIMB
• Develop IT blueprint and define IT architecture standards in line with IT strategy
• Ensure IT systems solution implementation in line with IT architecture standards and strategy
• Ensure IT systems solutions are tightly integrated
• Quality assure technical documents produced by the design and implementation teams
• Provide technical assurance in IT functional, non-functional and operational designs
• Provide advice and guidance to the design team in designing IT systems
• Mitigate risks and resolve issues across IT implementations in line with architectural standards
• Get involved in the change control process to assess the impact of major changes from an architectural perspective
• Provide overall technical governance in IT systems solution implementation
• Provide advice from a technology perspective and act a technology consultant to the business users and IT delivery team
• Holds the IT systems solutions release plan
• Keep up to date with new technology and trends which may be of benefit to CIMB
• Take high-level corporate/marketing/business/technology requirements and develop the functional architecture of the solution
• Translate functional architecture into more detailed technical, functional, and operational design specifications
• Assess new applications and or design enhancements to existing Astro IT systems ensuring compliance to technical design maintaining end-to-end operability of the IT systems
• Scope and provide time/cost estimation of all activities within the development life cycle
• Provide post implementation support of IT systems within the assigned systems portfolio

Job Specification *

Qualifications

(Basic Degree/Diploma etc)

• PHD/Master/Bachelor's Degree in Business Management / Information Technology or come from a strategic management consulting background.

Professional Qualification and/or Regulatory, Licensing requirements

• Program Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE2 certified / Agile SCRUM

Relevant Work Experience

• 5 years of Business or Technology transformation experience with at least 15 years of Technology experience.
• Delivered medium and/or large scale programs from program inception through the entire program life cycle.
• In-depth knowledge of technology and financial industry space especially in technology transformation, including the rules and regulations in the domestic and international landscape
• Proven track record in leading both technology function and large scale technology transformation in large organisation

• Significant and proven experience leading multi-function, multi-locational transformation programs, with high complexity
• Strategic consulting skills coupled with significant experience developing and implementing transformational business strategies
• Experience in the technology/digital sector would be advantageous
• Leadership excellence, combined with highly tuned interpersonal, influencing and communication skills
• Effective management of stakeholder interests across a complex organisational structure
• Extensive knowledge and experience developing business cases, program plans, managing multi-million MYR program budgets and implementation strategies
• Strong analytical and numerical skills and a deep understanding of how retail businesses work. Strong financial acumen and commercial awareness
• Creative thinking and problem analysis
• Credibility and confidence working at senior levels in the organisation; comfortable working with C-suite executives across the range of business functions
• Ability to build team with a culture of service excellence and create growth opportunities for CIMB Group to attract and retain top talent
