:

Job Purpose *

To assist the GT Quality Assurance office to perform project quality assurance review of selected critical projects in accordance with the QA Unit Operating Procedure. This is to ensure IT project compliance and adherence to the GPLC & SDLC framework and change management deliverables at the applicable stages for IT project life cycles. The aim is to enforce quality in the project deliverables which align to the project objectives.

Key Responsibilities *

  • Undertake Criticality Assessment for selected projects using QA Unit\'s Criticality Assessment and Scoring template.
  • Lead and/or participate in QA briefings to Project Sponsor / Project Manager / Team Leads
  • Guide and/or support Project Manager in the development of the project\'s Quality Management Plan
  • To document observations during phase gate / Sprints reviews using structured / tailored checklists and project deliverables / artefacts shared by Project Manager / Team. In the process, support the project manager and project team in ensuring compliance and completeness of project artefacts such as missing activities/WBS-level tasks, required GPLC deliverables, etc. to mitigate any potential risks or issues.
  • Own the development of Observation Log and Final QA Reports as per QA report templates.
  • Ensure objective fact finding, confirm observations with Project Manager / Team Leads during the Observation Log briefing discussions. Observations must be substantiated with relevant events/incidents/ documentation, impact to the project and if possible, likely cause of a risk or an issue.
  • Lead / participate in the development of Recommendations and Action Items that will need to be included in the Observation Log and finalized for reporting and briefing sessions as per the Final QA Review report.
  • Support tracking of action items, risks and issue / risk escalation when QA Review background information is required during follow up discussions.
  • Collaborate with other QA Unit SMEs in the development and review of QA Review artefacts including improvements in QA templates, QA reporting and QA Review processes.
  • If required and in collaboration with other support units i.e., GPLC Team, Vendor Management, etc., support Project Managers and project team in clarifying required deliverables that the project team may not have adopted before.
  • Act as subject matter expert in QA processes to ensure the facts and details are correct so that the programme / project\'s deliverables will meet the needs of stakeholders, policies & standards and best practices.
Note: Key responsibilities may not be limited to the above and may subject to change based on new requirements such as regulatory requirements, management discretions, process improvement etc.

Job Specification *

Qualifications

(Basic Degree/Diploma etc)
  • Bachelor\'s degree in information technology or a related study, or equivalent experience.
Professional Qualification and/or Regulatory, Licensing requirements
  • Value added advantage if with professional qualifications such as:
  • CMMI
  • PMP
  • SDLC
  • Professional Scrum Master
  • Relevant IT Infrastructure , IT Security and Cloud professional certification
  • Certification in Project management standards such as Agile/ Hybrid and Waterfall methodology would be an advantage.
Relevant Work Experience
  • Minimum 4 - 6 years in project quality assurance or experience in managing medium to large scale projects preferably in the banking industry.
  • Exposure to medium / large scale business / technology transformation project is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of full software lifecycle development and experience in large and complex systems within the financial sectors.

  • Strong analytical and able to make decisions, exhibit sound and accurate judgment when highlighting observations and recommending the best practices.
  • Good understanding on the project\'s objectives, criticality, risks, issues, pain points, improvements, implementation strategy and the ability to align to these throughout the project review.
  • Understands the high-level of system architecture, interfaces and design, including performance, scalability, release-management, industry technologies, upgrade path, costs of ownership for the overall solution to ensure in depth coverage of the project review. Preferably in the financial institution domain.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface effectively with senior business users and IT.
  • Apart from vast experiences in IT system (application) related project, it will be a value-added advantage if with knowledge and experience on projects related to IT Infrastructure / IT Security/ Cloud or Hybrid Cloud implementation.
