Manage Halal certification process (application, renewal, product registration) for all company's products.
Liaise with JAKIM and other authorities for Halal compliance.
Verify and monitor Halal status of raw materials and suppliers.
Ensure compliance with HALAL, MESTI, GMP, HACCP and food safety certification requirements.
Conduct internal and external audits, including customer or certification audits.
Prepare, maintain documentations and report for food safety and quality requirement. (Assist in production process validation and verification system to ensure every step of the processing line fulfilling requirement.)
Provide awareness training for production and relevant staff on halal, quality, food safety and hygiene best practices.
Investigate and address product quality issues with corrective actions.
Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, food standards and best practices.
Collaborate with cross functional team (production, R&D, procurement) to address quality-related matters.
Perform any related duties and responsibilities as assigned by Superior/ Management from time to time.
Conduct quality check of incoming materials, intermediates, finished product and packaging materials and maintain necessary records
Prepare QC reports and maintain documentation for audit purposes.
Perform any other tasks as assigned by management.
Job Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Halal Management, Food Science, Islamic Studies, or related field.
Certificate of Professional in Halal Executive Training Certificate
Minimum 1 year of experience in halal compliance, preferably in the F&B or manufacturing industry.
Good knowledge of MS 1500:2019 (Halal Food - Production, Preparation, Handling, and Storage) and JAKIM procedures.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
Able to liaise effectively with authorities, auditors, and internal teams.
