, and internal policies. The ideal candidate will act as the key liaison between the company and external authorities, ensuring the integrity of our halal assurance system across all outlets, central kitchen, and supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage
halal certification
applications, renewals, and audits for central kitchen, outlets, and products.
Maintain a robust and effective
Halal Assurance System (HAS)
in line with
MS1500:2019
standards.
Liaise with
JAKIM
,
Halal Certification Bodies
, and relevant government agencies on all halal matters.
Ensure
halal compliance
in procurement of ingredients, raw materials, and packaging used in food preparation.
Conduct
internal halal audits
, inspections, and risk assessments on regular basis.
Monitor daily operations across production and outlets to ensure continuous halal compliance.
Work closely with Procurement and R&D to review and approve new ingredients, recipes, and suppliers.
Manage
halal documentation
, SOPs, product dossiers, and staff training records.
Organize
halal training and awareness
programs for kitchen staff, outlet crew, and relevant teams.
Chair or participate in internal
Halal Committee
and support cross-functional halal initiatives.
Stay up to date with the latest
halal regulations, fatwas, and industry best practices
.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree
in Halal Management, Islamic Studies, Food Technology, Food Science, or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years
experience in halal-related roles, especially in F&B or food manufacturing industry.
Certified Halal Executive
or
Halal Internal Auditor
(recognized by JAKIM) is a strong advantage.
Strong knowledge of
JAKIM Halal Certification procedures
,
MS1500:2019
, and halal best practices in F&B.
Experience handling
central kitchen
,
multi-outlet
, or
franchise operations
is highly preferred.
Good knowledge of
raw materials sourcing, food handling, and processing methods
in halal context.
Familiar with
HACCP
,
GMP
, or
ISO 22000
is an added advantage.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both
Bahasa Malaysia and English
.
Detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized with strong documentation skills.
Able to lead cross-functional teams and provide clear guidance on halal compliance.
