The Halal Executive is responsible for ensuring all products, processes, and documentation comply with JAKIM Halal requirements. This role involves managing Halal certification, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance across the company's operations and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain all Halal certification and renewal processes with JAKIM or other Halal authorities.
Ensure compliance with Halal standards in production, ingredients, suppliers, and storage.
Coordinate internal Halal audits and support external audits by certification bodies.
Prepare and update Halal documentation, including ingredient lists, supplier certificates, and product formulations.
Conduct training and awareness sessions for staff on Halal practices.
Liaise with suppliers and production teams to ensure Halal integrity is maintained at all times.
Investigate and report any non-conformances or potential breaches of Halal requirements.
Collaborate with QA and production departments to maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and Halal compliance.
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Halal Management, or related field.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Halal certification or F&B compliance.
Good understanding of JAKIM Halal standards and MS1500:2019 requirements.
Strong documentation and communication skills.
Able to work independently and coordinate with multiple departments.
