Job Description

Aim of the job:

1. Improved and enhance agricultural processes to raise productivity and yield through Research and Development activities

2. Manage and improve nutritional health of oil palms and rubber

3. Provide technical consultancy to estates

4. Train personnel on various aspects of oil palm and rubber agricultural

Main responsibilities and activities:

1. Develop, implement and manage Research activities

2. Develop, implement and manage all activities pertaining to health and nutritional aspects of plantations

3. Conduct training.

4. Provide technical consultancies

5. Develop and manage replanting program and related activities

6. Provide advisory on best management practices

Requirements:
Basic education and training:

1. Bachelor or higher Degree in Agricultural or Applied Science or other plantation related qualification.

2. Communication skills

3. Leadership skill

Professional experience:

1. 5 years or more working experience in agriculture or related fields.

2. Experience in developing, implementing and managing research activities

3. Published papers in reputable journals or international conferences.

Specific knowledge linked to the job:

1. MS Office application

2. Advanced Agriculture

3. Fertilizer recommendation and formulation.

4. Agronomy & Pest and Disease Management.

5. Soil science

6. Experimental Designs

7. Statistics

8. Agricultural economics

9. Basic knowledge in GIS/GPS

10. Sustainability issues
