Lead the implementation of new financial reporting standards for the Group through a full understanding of the financial standard requirements.
Supporting role in any initiatives or enhancements post implementation
Ensure all queries and reporting requirements posed by the local regulatory authorities/auditors are adequately addressed with satisfactory responses.
Implement regional initiatives to standardise policies and to ensure compliance of Group policies
Provides advice and support to business units throughout the Group
Collaboration with business units to drive returns for the CIMB Group and facilitate collaboration across countries for sharing of best practices and business opportunities
Providing oversight and control over methodology/framework matters for the Group by supporting the subsidiaries of the Group in the implementation of Group Standards
Ensures controls in place to mitigate leakages of non compliance with Group Standards wrt to accounting policy choices and changes.
Ensures all Group's policies are in compliance with Group, local and regional regulations, where possible
Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements (eg. BNM, MASB etc. ) and external auditors
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or Professional Qualification in the relevant discipline (Accounting/Finance)
Around 10 years of working experiences in banking or auditing.
Proficient with Excel, Power-point, Microsoft Access and basic Macro
Business experience and knowledge in EIR
Possesses a willingness to learn attitude and takes ownership of personal career development
Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to deliver
Ability to work in a dynamic environment between teams and in team environment
Under circumstances, ability to work independently
Takes initiative to develop technical strength
