WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The overarching objective of the Head of Cloud Operations is to take full accountability of the operational performance of AIA's Group shared Public Cloud services. The role will ensure strategic partners delivers the services aligned to Group strategy and expectations.

The role will be responsible to fulfill all new demand as required to deliver business objectives on demand including components of the propel strategy.
The role needs to ensure that all BU demands are taking into consideration when operating shared Public Cloud Platform and build a fully integrated support model with BU's and Group.

This role will also establish a world-class service engagement model within Group, GTO and BU's.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Accountability to operate Public Cloud services in a world-class manner, driving high levels of service performance and management.
• Lead and manage AIA Group Public Cloud Centre-of-Excellence (CoE), including line management of staff to provide services to BUs and Group and governance of Cloud Management vendors/partners
• Manage the Public Cloud Platform at a group level and provide full cloud integration in a multi cloud / Multi-vendor environment.
• On time in full delivery of new demand for Group, GTO and BU capabilities
• Management and compliance of Public Cloud technologies to audit standards
• Work with the Group Technology Risk to ensure compliance to all security requirements and standards
• Identify opportunities to improve, align and synergies business strategic partners and group technology
• Align with Service Management team to build and mature a world-class reporting capability and group office level
• Manage cloud operations team rostering to ensure adequate coverage service hours including afterhours on-call
• Accountability for resource augmentation partners; timesheet validation, working with IT Finance for payment; contract negotiation and renewals as appropriate
• Act as point of escalation during incidents and other operational activities

Job Requirements :

Experience:

• 10+ years relevant experience in Cloud/Platform Management roles, with at least 3 years in a senior role including Cloud Architecture.
• Excellent understanding and proven experience in Public Cloud implementation, workload migration and management in a multi-site enterprise environment
• Proven experience plus relevant professional certifications (MS Azure, AWS etc)
• Practical experience of managing Enterprise Public Cloud Services
• Life insurance experience within a regional or multinational scope will be an advantage
• Experience within a decentralized organization, preferably within the Group unit where delivery is through influence rather than direct control
• Sound understanding of IT operating model design and best practices
