JOB SUMMARY

The Head of Finance, MYSG contributes to the overall success of Takeda MYSG by effectively managing all Financial responsibilities, Supply Chain management and Procurement through provision of strategic and financial guidance to ensure that the company\'s financial commitments are met. This person will have responsibility for developing the necessary policies and procedures to ensure sound financial management and control of the Company\xe2\x80\x99s business.

The position holder will report directly to the Head of Finance, I-SEA.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Formulating strategic, short, mid and long term business plans. Oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning and structure to ensure delivery on financial and supply chain management strategies.
  • Lead and coach the Finance/Accounting team, encompassing FP&A, Controlling and Supply Chain, to ensure they are appropriately motivated, developed and equipped with the ideal capabilities and competencies.
  • Ensure that budgetary, financial reporting, financial risk management, demand planning objectives are aligned with company business objectives and statutory requirements\xe2\x80\x94and delivered with operational excellence and uncompromised ethics and compliance.
  • Diagnosis and analyse on factors influencing business performance and advise management the necessary action plan to mitigate and manage financial and business risk.
  • Provide Finance and Supply Chain insights and advice to key internal stakeholders to enable them to achieve cross-functional objectives.
  • Responsible for supply chain management , ensuring compliance with distribution contracts, optimal stock holding and new launch planning
  • Responsible for Internal Control Management, implement and enforce SOP, internal control policies and procedure, lead in audit exercise and ensure the compliance with Pharmaceutical Industry Code & Takeda\xe2\x80\x99s Code. Monitor risk management policies and procedures to ensure that organizational and program risks are minimized.
  • Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation, developing external relationship with financial stakeholders \xe2\x80\x93 auditors, solicitors, bankers, tax consultant and statutory organization.
  • Manage / Partner in the operations of global functions or projects (e.g. IT and Procurement) in MYSG including operational projects pertaining to company facilities, supply chain and warehousing.
  • Lead the completion of M&A transactions to ensure alignment with global / regional strategic portfolio direction.
EDUCATION, PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES :

Education & language:
  • Ideally the candidate should possess a professional accounting membership such as Member of Malaysia Institute of Accountants (MIA) or/and Certified Practising Accountants (CPA)
  • Professional certification as a Chartered Accountant, Certified General Accountant or Certified Management Accountant is preferred.
  • Fluency with good command of English.
Work experience:
  • Experience managing teams of at least 10 members.
  • Minimum of 10 years in Finance with proven experience in management of day-to-day financial operations.
  • Experience in directing the necessary resources to provide ongoing reliable supply of commercialized products.
  • Audit experience and exposure is advantage.
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical / healthcare industry, especially in MYSG, is strongly preferred.
  • International work experience is a plus.
