RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for health, safety and environmental (HSE) compliances.
Include assessment and implementation of programs and the continued oversight and administration of existing HSE programs.
Work closely with all departments, and enable them to meet their objectives by providing them with appropriate tools, materials, and support to ensure existing processes and special projects are following company and country regulations.
To act as a WSHO & exercise the duties of WSHO in accordance with WSH (Workplace Safety & Health Officers) regulations.
Implement and maintain an environmental health and safety program involving hazard identification evaluation and control, accident/injury prevention, hazardous material/waste management, emergency preparedness, fire/life safety, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and environmental regulatory compliance
Develop a proactive & reactive servicing and maintenance plan for the fire life safety systems and equipment in all assets ensuring periodic testing and emergency maintenance of the same.
Development of inspection framework and management of 3rd party HS&E inspectors.
Ensure compliance with international codes and standards for HS&E in order to maintain the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environment.
Implement and manage HS&E related CAPEX projects
Oversee issuance of HS&E permits for projects and assignments and construction works for customer projects to ensure all cases are in accordance with rules and regulations and local and federal rules.
Manage the revision and evaluation of the new & additional licenses/activities applications in pre-built warehouses and plots of land to minimize the associated HS&E risks and impacts.
Supervise and monitor Risk Assessments for operations and tasks of to identify HS&E deficiencies and support the implementation/enforcement of mitigation plans.
Establish proactive inspection and audit plans for all buildings, facilities, and operations in order to identify unsafe conditions, investigate root causes, report to relevant parties the noted deficiencies and recommended corrective and preventive measures and ensure that all discrepancies are effectively corrected within required time frames.
Plan and conduct HS&E-related activities, training, and events for staff and clients to increase HS&E awareness.
Prepare accurate cost estimates for budgeting of proposed HS&E projects.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s / Masters in Engineering, Science, Safety or Environment (or HSSE equivalent experience)
Minimum 15 years of experience in Health, Safety and Environment related roles.
Experience in Solar Energy Industry is an advantage.
Working knowledge of OHSAS18001/ISO45001, ISO14001, or ISO50001 management systems is an advantage, as is prior HSSE management experience.
Self-driven, result-oriented and good initiative with hands-on can do attitude
Good presentation skills and Proficiency in MS office
