Job Description

The Head of Leasing leads the development and execution of leasing strategies to maximize rental income, occupancy rates, and tenant retention across a portfolio of assets. They are responsible for tenant acquisition, lease negotiations, and optimizing the tenant mix to enhance asset value and competitiveness.

• Establish and track KPIs for leasing success.
• Commit to achieving rental income, occupancy, retention, and lease renewal KPIs.
• Develop and lead leasing strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate with GMs and CMs for strategic asset positioning.
• Oversee nationwide asset performance.
• Manage lease renewals, vacancy filling, and tenant assignments.
• Optimize tenant mix based on asset positioning and market demand.
• Source and acquire new brands to enhance competitiveness.
• Build relationships with retailers for tenant acquisition and partnerships.
• Lead tenant mix optimization and propose new concepts.
• Drive expansion of strategic retailers within the portfolio.
• Oversee tenant acquisition, negotiate leases, and maintain tenant relationships.
• Collaborate on asset plans and drive Asset Enhancement Initiatives (AEIs).
• Foster partnerships with key departments for leasing strategy success.
• Standardize leasing policies and procedures across assets.
• Ensure legal compliance and manage leasing-related risks.
• Stay informed on market trends and economic conditions.
• Lead and develop a high-performing leasing team.
• Foster team morale, discipline, and alignment with company policies.

• Bachelor Degree in Business, Real Estate or any related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in retail leasing with mall management or consultancy and minimum 5 years in a senior managerial position.
• Strong understanding and market knowledge within the mall industry in Malaysia.
• Possess extensive network within the retail industry from mass market to luxury brands.
• Strong leadership, communication and analytic skill sets.
