Descriptions Looking forward to a technology-driven career in a dynamic environment KPMG is now on the lookout for a Head of Lighthouse (Director) within the KPMG Lighthouse, our Center of Excellence (CoE) in Data and Analytics, Automation, AI and Digital Solutions in our Malaysia office. You will be joining the Senior Management Team as the Head of Lighthouse (Director) here at KPMG in Malaysia. We work closely with our clients across diversified industries such as retail, FMCG, manufacturing, financial services, telecommunications, etc. to shape and lead technology-enabled business change engagements, typically motivated by digital transformation agenda, realizing operational efficiencies, timely management information and insights, etc. As this is a digital, technology and business-domain-focused role, you will be leading a collaborative and energetic team of data analysts, software engineers, automation specialists, business development team, innovation specialists, project managers, and business analysts that share clients\' projects delivery, solution development, business development and innovation experiences. Our team covers a broad range of functional and technical domains you will have the opportunity, and be expected, to grow your skill set and experience across a variety of these. We are looking for a proactive and self-motivated individual with experience of leading digital transformation and implementation projects such as BI analytics, RPA, software and application development, SaaS and any other ad-hoc projects. You are expected to have project governance or oversight experience, having managed teams of various sizes in technology-enabled projects (such as Business Intelligence (BI) or Automation projects implementation). You will be responsible to lead business development activities and to manage mid to large size teams, projects or workstreams - across diversified industries and markets. To excel in this role, it is crucial to be motivated by delivering successful engagements with clients, has a thirst to learn more and is excited to contribute to grow our team. One of the important Key Performance Indicator (\'KPI\') would be timely delivery of projects with high quality. To excel in this role, you must be aware of the big picture level but be focused on securing the successful delivery of defined projects or leading sub work stream teams. You will have good technology skills, business acumen and are likely to have been through some formal technology delivery training, e.g., through your work experience in commercial organisation, consulting firm or technology organisation. KPMG the Clear Choice Responsibilities - Lead the vision, strategy, and mission of the department and ensure that it delivers high-quality work that meets the needs of our clients and KPMG. - Lead proposals and business development activities. - Build and manage a team of technology experts in BI analytics, RPA, software and application development, SaaS, etc. - Manage mid to large-size teams, projects, or workstreams - across diversified industries and markets. Ensure timely and successful delivery of high-quality projects. - Possessed good technology skills, and business acumen and are likely to have been through some formal technology delivery training, e.g., through your work experience in a commercial organization, consulting firm, or technology organization. - Excellent project and stakeholders\' management capabilities and will be looking to develop your career in this direction. - Have some experience with the core delivery levers of scope, time, budget, quality, and risk and have insight into how they are used to create and maintain the optimum delivery mix. - Have a clear understanding of governance, scoping, planning, timeliness in project delivery, project finances, quality, resourcing, risks, issue management, and communications. - Familiar with Microsoft applications, tools and platform such as Power Platform and Azure. - Build cohesion within the team and motivate the team to produce quality work. Requirements - At least 10 years of senior management or leadership experience in the areas of technology implementation or finance digital transformation - Project implementation experience as a Project Manager on technology-enabled projects such as Data and Analytics, Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence (BI), RPA/Automation, SaaS or system implementation - Prior consulting experience or client-facing experience is crucial - Degree in Computer Science or IT, Finance/Accounting, Business Analytics, or any relevant degree - PMP, MBOT and Microsoft certifications would be a strong advantage - Experience in the systems development lifecycle for waterfall and agile projects in technology-enabled projects. - Familiarity with technology-enabled projects, especially in project management, team management, client relationship management, and stakeholder engagement. - Solid problem-solving, decision-making, logical thinking, and analytical capabilities - Excellent people skill with demonstrable experience in managing team members across various background and skillsets and dealing with client stakeholders - Technical knowledge and experience in the following areas would be added advantage: - Data warehousing and BI - Data architecture, including data model design and implementation (including relational and dimensional) - Intelligent automation, including RPA tools such as Power Automate, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, etc. - Software development - Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including clients and stakeholders\' presentations) - Committed, creative, resourceful, and ready to work under pressure - Possess great leadership skill and teamwork spirit.
