Description of function
- Support the strategic planning of the department/unit (Abteilung/Fachbereich) by breaking
frame
- Plan and administer the budget in his/her area of responsibility, in cooperation with the
- Cooperate in personnel planning within his/her area of responsibility in cooperation with the
- Provide technical and disciplinary leadership to associates that report to him/her; make
- Break down and prioritize group goals for associates
- Administer and assure all logistical and SCM functions in the plant (e.g. warehouse administration,
- Implement logistics and SCM guidelines, processes and systems and assure they are followed
- Assure planning and control of the material demand and of the detailed production program, in order to
- Assure material availability/transport logistics and the agreed supply reliability to internal and/or
Responsibility value:
- Very low system complexity
- Conventional delivery to customer
- Very low number of series to end customer
- Physical logistic operations will e.g. be executed by an external provider
Specialist knowledge: Professional/graduate education (experienced professional) usually acquired
through a bachelors degree or professional certification with several (three to five)
years of experience in a specialized field (highly proficient in a technical, scientific
or specialized field built on a thorough understanding of theoretical concepts and
principles and their context)
Type of activities: Design/set up methods of resolution for differing situations, including detailed.
analysis of the situation/causes
Scope: Clearly defined, but not comprehensive guidelines; general monitoring of success
(as part of short-term goals)
