What\'s the Role?

As the Head of Low-Code & Automation IT, you manage an international team of IT professionals providing automation solutions as well as low-code self-service application development services to the global Hilti community. You own and develop the low-code & RPA strategy for Hilti, implement governance models and enable citizen development of low-code and automation applications for the company. You own & run the low-code platform(s) for Hilti, manage & support the citizen development community and own & govern the citizen development processes. You partner with all functions in Global IT and our worldwide process communities to support digital transformation in an agile way, while ensuring that enterprise architecture and security standards are met. You also closely collaborate with vendors (esp. SAP and Microsoft) and external development partners.

What does the role involve?

The Head of Low-Code and Automation IT will be responsible for the thought leadership on industry evolution, identifying new applications for automation technologies and for building and implementing solutions which transform the operational capabilities of the business.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Establish long term vision for automation and citizen application development supporting business capability needs and technologies
• Lay the framework for smart automations at Hilti using process automation, cognitive and machine learning capabilities
• Establish a low-code development platform, incl. central governance, platform ownership, services provisioning as well as decentral citizen development capabilities
• Establish a worldwide community of citizen developers and the necessary community management framework
• Innovate with leading vendors (esp. SAP and Microsoft) to enhance IT solutions capabilities
• Drive migration of locally developed applications (shadow IT) onto the low-code platform
• Manage and develop an international team of IT experts in Buchs, Switzerland and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
• Manage and negotiate with 3 rd party providers and key vendors in delivery of automation services
• Manage the functional budgets based on rolling forecast basis

What you need is

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree, Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree or PhD in Information Technology, Computer Science or other relevant education with CGPA >= 3.0
• At least 5 to 8 years of experience in business requirements, business process understanding, system analysis in supporting business application implementations and application programming.
• Experience leading highly-effective, cross functional teams
• Thoughtful leadership and innovative thinking
• Positive customer service attitude
• Advanced communication skills, including business/technical writing and presentations
• Experience in working in an international/virtual/geographically dispersed team
• You will possess a personality and outlook that is visionary, enthusiastic, energetic, with a "Can Do" attitude. You will be open minded, hands on with a willingness to lead by example and able to conduct rigorous and robust conversations
