An exciting Head of Management Information Systems job opportunity has just become available at one of the local banks in Kuala Lumpur. About the Head of Management Information Systems Role:
Your role is to ensure efficient and effective operation and services provided by Management Information System function in compliance with Internal Policy, Standard Operating Procedure, Guidelines on Data Management and MIS Framework for DFIs and any applicable regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement an effective data and MIS framework that is aligned with the BPMB\xe2\x80\x99s business and risk strategies
• Establish a sound data governance structure that ensures the effective control of data quality
• Maintain adequate data quality at all times
• Maintain effective controls over data security and privacy to preserve a high level of systems and data integrity
• Contribute to the enhancement and automation process for various internal and external reporting
• Ensure that technological resources work reliably and meet institution\xe2\x80\x99s goals
• Provide system stability across platforms
• Supervise security efforts to prevent breaches from outsiders
• Keep data and confidential information safe
• Implement regular software and security updates
• Continuously analyse, research and recommend improvements to current systems and infrastructure

To succeed in this role you need to have a deep understanding of how technology works and how to manage it effectively. You will also need to be able to communicate with other members of the team and understand the needs of the business. Key Requirements:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field
• 10 or more years of experience in IT management, with at least five years in a leadership role
• Proven experience developing and implementing MIS strategies
• Strong understanding of current and emerging technologies
• Excellent project management skills
• Banking experience is an advantage
