Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced marketeer to lead our marketing strategy and drive the growth of Lumos. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing initiatives in the consumer electronics or safety equipment industry. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive marketing plans, managing a talented team, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives. This is a senior role in a small company. As such we\'re seeking people who are extremely motivated, are self-starters, independent, and seeking the opportunity to use their skills to have a big impact as part of a small team. Key responsibilities will include: Strategic Planning Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with company goals and objectives. Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and the competitive landscape. Team Leadership Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing marketing team. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment. Oversee the marketing of existing products Analysis and reporting - Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of marketing initiatives, and provide reports Brand management - Define and reinforce Lumos\' brand positioning, ensuring consistency across all marketing channels, and oversee the development and execution of compelling marketing campaigns to enhance brand visibility. Lead all promotional activities from digital marketing through influencer engagement, PR, content creation, email marketing, and paid advertising Optimize digital channels to drive website traffic, customer engagement, and online sales. Oversee the launching of new products into the market Product marketing - Collaborate with the product team to create impactful product positioning and messaging. Develop and implement go-to-market strategies for new product launches. Lumos is still very much a young early stage company. As such, a high degree of adaptability, independence, and initiative is expected and required to do well here. We are constantly learning new things and adapting our strategy and activities accordingly. As such, JDs are looked at more as a guideline at Lumos. We eschew roles and seek people willing and able to go beyond the JD when necessary to fix the problem and get the job done regardless of our \'jobs\'. Requirements: Skill, experience, and a track record of success as a marketeer. Preferably in a consumer hardware, outdoorware, sports, or fashion related startup/company or agency. Whatever the product or medium is, you know how to tell a story and how to get people excited. You know how to think both strategically and tactically to get the job done and do it well. Skill, experience, and a track record of success as a manager and a leader. You know how to hire, build and manage a team, and hold people to high standards. Skill, experience, and a track record of success managing a budget and having P&L responsibility You know how to think analytically, and how to run your team and budget in a commercially sound way.
