In this key position, you\'ll be the mastermind behind an efficient supply chain, ensuring physical stores have the right products at the right time. You\'ll develop strategies, manage operations, lead a team, and leverage technology to keep stores stocked and customers satisfied.

• Strategic Planning: Develop supply chain strategies aligned with business goals and customer buying habits. Forecast inventory needs for each store to prevent stock-outs and optimise product availability.
• Operational Efficiency: Oversee all aspects of the physical store supply chain, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics. Ensure efficient and timely product replenishment for all stores.
• Team Leadership: Guide, mentor, and develop your supply chain team, including store managers and logistics staff. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
• Vendor Management: Build strong relationships with suppliers and distributors. Negotiate contracts to secure the best prices, quality, and delivery terms for products and services, including 3PL warehousing.
• Cost Control: Keep a watchful eye on supply chain costs, focusing on optimising procurement and distribution expenses. Implement cost-saving measures without compromising product quality or store availability.
• Inventory Management: Strike the perfect balance between minimising excess stock and ensuring product availability for each store. Implement efficient inventory practices to reduce waste, especially for perishable items.
• Logistics & Distribution: Oversee logistics and distribution to guarantee timely and accurate product deliveries to all stores. Collaborate with logistics partners to streamline transportation and minimise delivery times.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all products meet the highest quality standards and regulatory requirements specific to physical store offerings. Implement and monitor quality control processes to maintain product integrity throughout the supply chain.
• Technology Integration: Leverage technology to optimise the supply chain, including automated ordering systems and real-time inventory tracking. Implement and maintain supply chain management systems tailored for physical store operations.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential supply chain disruptions, such as supply shortages or seasonal demand fluctuations. Develop contingency plans to ensure continuous store operation.
• Performance Measurement: Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to physical store supply chain operations, such as order fulfilment rates, delivery times, and inventory turnover. Analyse performance data to continuously improve supply chain efficiency and store availability.
• Communication & Collaboration: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including store managers and area managers, to align supply chain activities with store needs. Provide regular updates on supply chain performance and initiatives, focusing on store readiness and product availability.

An opportunity to build |Fast moving environment

• A Bachelor\'s degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in change management, supply chain knowledge, warehouse management, project planning, or a relevant combination of experience and education. Prior experience in Retail, Food Retail, FMCG, or fresh food logistics is a plus.
• A solid understanding of operating processes, business process standardisation, and enabling technologies.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate, coordinate, and support your team.
• Proficiency in computer skills and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Our client is an upcoming retailer, having expanded their business to over 60 physical stores their business is growing exponentially well. As such, they\'re looking for a Head of Supply Chain to build structure and processes and in turn creating stability.
