Job Description


The Head of Students\' Success, Development & Innovation will be responsible for driving and integrating Learning Skills, Life Skills, and Leadership Skills (3 Ls) into our living programs for hostel residents. This role involves designing and implementing innovative blended learning solutions to enhance student success and personal growth.
The Head will lead the digital transformation of the student experience, optimize booking and reservation systems, and ensure seamless end-to-end processes. Additionally, he/she will develop robust learning structure ,module and metrics to measure program effectiveness, oversee the submission and opportunity for programme accreditation and award recognition for Taylor\'s residences, and maintain the highest standards of student living excellence.
This position also entails leading operational excellence in processes and innovation at Taylor\'s Residence, as well as evaluating, improving, and overseeing the overall resident experience and student success.KEY RESULT AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO:1. Creation of a structure, system and environment which promotes students\' success.

  • To develop and manage comprehensive academic and intellectual support services relevant to
the resident life cycle at Taylor\'s residence.
  • To implement systems and the relevant performance metrics to monitor and track students\' progress and identify those at risk and to provide timely structured interventions.
  • To establish mentorship programmes that connect students with the teaching faculty, alumni and industry professionals for guidance and support, with the aim of preparing students for the working and professional environment.
2. Leadership Development
  • To source, design and implement programmes that cultivate leadership skills, including workshops, seminars, and experiential learning opportunities for both residents and for Taylor\'s Residence staff.
  • To create leadership opportunities for residents to take on leadership roles within resident organization, clubs and hostel activities.
  • To provide leadership coaching sessions, including one-on-one leadership coaching and mentoring to help residents develop their leadership potential.
  • To organize and promote participation in leadership conferences and events, both on and off-campus.
3. Life Skills Development
  • To source, design and implement workshops on essential life skills such as personal rights and awareness, financial literacy, time management, stress management and communication.
  • Provide resources and support for personal growth, including goal setting, resilient training and self-awareness.
4. Learning Skills Enhancement
  • To design and implement learning and study skills training workshops and programmes on effective study techniques, critical thinking, problem solving skills and utilization of A.I. in learning.
  • Creation of programs and activities which promote and support peer learning groups and study sessions to enhance collaborative learning.
5. Digitization and Innovation
  • To take the lead in the digitization of systems and processes at Taylor\'s Residence, in consultation with the Director in charge of digitization at THM with the objective of promoting the integration of technology in learning ( and in systems processes ) through the use of digital tools, apps, and software that enhance the educational ( and processes ) experience.
  • To implement and manage digital learning platforms that provide access to online resources, courses and interactive tools.
  • To source, design and implement training sessions on digital literacy, A.I implementation for learning ( and/or office processes ), including the use of educational technologies, online research skills and digital citizenship.
6. Strategic Resident Leadership and Collaboration
  • To develop and implement strategic plans to enhance students\' success, leadership, and innovation initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments, including academic faculties in Taylor\'s University and College, student affairs, and IT, to support students success initiatives. To also do the same with the same objective for office SOPs and processes.
7. Communication and Outreach
  • To promote student success programs, in collaboration with the Marketing Department, through various channels, including social media, newsletter and hostel events.
  • To establish an efficient and effective feedback system to gather resident\'s input and continuously improves programs and services.

  • Good organizational skills and sound knowledge of skills required for residents.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

  • Ability to work under pressure and flexible long hours, if needed.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
  • Minimum academic/professional qualification
  • Diploma or Degree in Mass Communication or any discipline/programs related to the development of People Management, Lifeskills & Behavioral Advancement.
Related experience
  • Minimum five (5) years of related working experience in management of people issues (especially youths), counselling, events and organization development programs
Competencies (knowledge, skills & abilities)
  • Self-driven and highly motivated individual who can work well in a team as well as independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work on own initiatives and to operate under tight schedules and timeline.
  • Ability to interact with and connect with youths, and to provide guidance, inspiration and be a mentor to them.

  • Must have passion for working with young people & be able to relate to them at all levels.
