HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST This position reports to: Administrative Specialist, Health, Safety and Environment Job Overview: * Generally, the individual will be responsible for administering works related to Health, S HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST This position reports to: Administrative Specialist, Health, Safety and Environment Job Overview: Generally, the individual will be responsible for administering works related to Health, Safety & Environment. The candidate will play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations, work place inspections and investigations with managing a number of processes: retrieving reports, reviewing reports, OSHA record keeping, incident investigation and analysis, data collection or entry, etc. This includes, but not limited to tracking & organizing documents from internal stakeholders along with other relevant external parties to manage the business function at optimum level. The candidate must work well on both self-initiated projects and those driven by priorities outlined by management. Work Life: To inspect the place of work to determine whether any machinery, plant, equipment, substance, appliances or process in the place of work, is of such nature liable to cause bodily injury to any person working in the place of work To investigate any accident, near-miss accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning or occupational disease which has happened in the place of work To assist the management or the Safety & Health Committee in organizing and implementing Occupational Safety & Health program at the place of work To become an administrator to the Safety & Health Committee and perform all functions of a administrator To collect, analyze and maintain statistics on any accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning and occupational disease which have occurred at the place of work To coordinate the emergency drill by yearly basis To conduct contractor inductions prior start of work activities or projects To liaise with authorities pertaining to any matters related to Occupational Safety & Health or any matters related to Environment To ensure PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) & ad hoc safety supplies (tools and equipment) are sufficient and maintained/renewed To maintain good record keeping / filing system To perform any other safety, health & environment duties that may be assigned from time to time by the immediate supervisor. To be considered, you'll need: Certificate / Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health OSH Coordinator Certificate and registered with Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) One (1) to three (3) years working experience as a Safety & Health practitioner Experience in handling Management System (i.e ISO 45001:2018) will be an added advantage Experience in handling Emergency Management in the workplace Knowledge in legislation related to Occupational Safety & Health & Environment Excellent computer skills & proficiency in Microsoft Office Proficiency in verbal and written communication in English & Bahasa Willing to travel Commitment to support the business function after office hours during an emergency Experience in handling Pandemic Emergencies (e.g., COVID-19, H1N1, etc.) will be an added advantage. Good communication skills in dealing with internal (all staff levels) & external (e.g. authorities, contractors, visitors, etc.) Able to work independently with minimum supervision Ability to maintain high confidentiality, is tactful & can exercise discretion when dealing with people Good as an individual contributor & also a team player A disciplineded individual with high sense of responsibility Must have strong hands-on knowledge and Intermediate level of knowledge of appropriate software including: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint to prepare presentation, reporting and analysis work.
