Job Description


What you will do:

  • Manage Safety Supervisor / Reporting & liaise with Client Safety Department / Preparation of Safety Statistics.
  • Promoting a safe working environment by advising on safety measures, conducting risk assessments, and enforcing preventative measures.
  • Establish a safe workplace according to legal standards and foster a culture of attention to health and safety.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines in a workplace.
  • Review existing policies and measures, organize OHS training, inspect premises and work activities, investigate incidents, and prepare reports on occurrences.
  • Identifying hazards, ensuring compliance with legislation, and promoting a culture of health and safety in the workplace.
  • Supporting the development of OHS policies and programs.
  • Advising and instructing on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.).
  • Initiate and organize OHS training of employees and executives.
  • Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment).
How you will do it:
  • Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle worker\xe2\x80\x99s compensation claims.
  • Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management.
  • Conducting daily Tool Box Meeting, Check and verify workers PPE and understand the Safety Precaution. Review any accident resulting in personal injury or damage together with near misses of high potential.
  • Advise management and supervisor on Safety and Health Management. Responsible to advising administration and monitoring all operation to ensure conformances to all relevant local statutory EHS requirements.
  • Review any reports of deviation from expected safety norms and suggested procedures and identify the appropriate corrective action.
  • Check, verify and summit all documents and permits for approval and filing system control.
  • Endorsement of various permit of work system at the workplace. Review all permit in force.
  • Conduct a risk assessment or HIRARC / HIRADC based on the nature of hazards. Set up EHS targets /action plan through the project.
  • Conduct an inspection of staging/scaffolding to ensure strength, stability and maintain in accordance to local statutory requirement.
  • Conduct a regular inspection pertaining lifting equipment.
What we look for:
  • This position is 1-year contract role.
  • University Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prefer minimum 5 years of working experience.
  • Open to work in Melaka.
  • Green book holder.
