Overview : The Interpreter is responsible for handling telephone or video calls on demand and renders the meaning of conversations in the consecutive mode of interpretation between speakers of Mandarin/Cantonese and English. Job Responsibilities:
- Convey proper and accurate meaning from the source with proper clarity, tone, syntax and grammar for both English and Cantonese/ Mandarin.
- The calls may involve simple or complex, non-technical or technical subjects in Healthcare, Government, Insurance, Finance, Utilities, Travel and Hospitality, 911 emergency services, Law Enforcement and General Business.
- Interpret with the highest degree of accuracy and completeness in consecutive, simultaneous and sight translation modes.
- Perform other task as assigned Customer Support (English & Mandarin).
- (Freshers & retirees are most welcomed too).
- Previous working experience in customer service, or customer service-related fields is an added advantage but not necessary.
- Possess good telephone etiquette with a pleasant voice.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to READ/WRITE & SPEAK Mandarin or Cantonese.
- Willing to work under permanent NIGHT SHIFT.
