Job Responsibility Compensation & Benefits Day to day payroll supervising, administering and monitoring the payroll processing to achieve an error free monthly payroll for both full time and part time employees. Provide guidance to the team. Developing & administering compensation & benefits plan, which include but not limited to job grading, salary benchmarking, salary review, etc. Administering the employees job description and exit interviews, which include new and existing staff. Aligns performance management system with compensation structure. Monitoring & administering for group health care benefits. Training & Development Employee training & development includes new hire orientation, leadership training and professional development seminars and workshops. Oversees training needs assessments to determine when training is necessary and the type of training necessary to improve performance and productivity. Responsible for conducting training needs assessment to have a hands-on role in evaluating overall employee performance to decide if the workforce would benefit from additional training and orientation. Examines employee performance records to identify areas where employees could improve though job skills training or employee development, such as seminars or workshops on leadership/technical techniques. Liaise with Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) for the HRDF levy fund and supervise the subsequent process of training fund reclaiming back from the authority. To identify training requirements and develops plans for training new and existing employees. Continually research methods and techniques in workplace training and remain up-to-date on development within the industry and competitors. Administer tests after the completion of training courses to determine the effectiveness of training strategies. Recruitment & Selection Develops solutions to meet workforce demands and labour force treads. Administering an organized recruitment and selection processes, which include job profiling, psychology tests (if any) and background checking, etc. Use his/her knowledge about manpower shortages to develop a strategy for employee retention, talent recruitment pool or for maintaining the current staffing levels. Developing an incentive program for the staff with cross-training so they can become certified in different specialties to become more valuable to the organization. Corporate branding as IT relates to recruitment and retention means promoting the Company as an employer of choice. Responsible for the recruitment & selection process, as well as compensation & benefits to find ways to appeal to highly qualified applicants. Employee Relations Ultimate responsibility for preserving the employer-employee relationship through designing an effective employee relations strategy. An effective employee relations strategy contains specific steps for ensuring the overall well-being of employees. Ensure that employees have a safe working environment, free from discrimination and harassment. Conduct workplace investigations and resolve employee complaints, resolving with the IR department if necessary. Employee Engagement Plan and organize the employee engagement activities, which include monthly birthday celebration, annual staff gathering, potluck etc. Develop and plan the yearly budget for employee engagement initiatives. Any ad hoc assignments given by the Management. Job Requirements At least a Diploma/ Advanced/ Higher Diploma in Human Resources or related field. Minimum with 7 - 10 years of working experience in Human Resources and related industry. Knowledge of HR systems and databases & In-dept knowledge of labor law. Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of success. Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills. Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills. Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the Company. Strong analytical and data analysis skills with great attention to detail and resourcefulness.
