Join our Core Business Services (CBS) team and help support important business enablement functions that keep our organization running strong. As a CBS professional, you will work across teams to provide the knowledge, resources and tools that help EY deliver exceptional quality service to our clients, win in the marketplace and support EY\'s growth and profitability.

We call our human resources as Talent Team, reflecting how important our people are to the success of the EY organization. Working with the Talent Team, you\'ll help develop and execute our people strategy and solutions, including the programs, measures and tools that help our EY member firm\'s employees achieve their goals. You will lead as well as support the development and implementation of strategies for performance management, leadership development, learning, reward and wellbeing, recruiting, onboarding reporting processes and other initiatives.

The HR Business Partner role is an internal client-facing role where the individual will build and maintain effective relationships and act as the point of contact for business leaders and employees on talent-related matters at the Penang and Ipoh office. The role is responsible for successful implementation of talent processes and initiatives, aligned to the Firm\'s business growth strategy.

Your key responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders to drive talent initiatives and deliver the Penang and Ipoh office\'s strategic talent agenda
  • Manage overall Human Resource functions that include recruitment, compensation and benefits, performance management, onboarding, workforce planning and employee engagement
  • Build and maintain influential relationships with business leaders and understand Penang and Ipoh office\'s business, financial drivers, specific opportunities, gaps and challenges
  • Lead or support initiatives to drive employee engagement and exceptional EY experience (including listening surveys, associated communication and action planning)
  • Serves as the point of contact on employee relations issues, manages/handles issue as appropriate and escalates issues, as needed
  • Support business planning, including headcount planning, promotion planning, office planning
  • Drive change, embedding behavioural change to align with talent priorities; advise business leaders in effective change management strategy and deployment of change
  • Provide latest and current people trends, potential areas of concern and solutions through data analytics
  • Collaborate with central Talent function to create relevant Human Resource solutions for the office
  • Collaborate with central Talent Enablement team on talent transactional activities
To qualify for the role, you must have
  • A graduate qualification
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as HR Business Partner, HR Manager or equivalent
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong business acumen or commercial awareness. Financial acumen with experience in forecasting, cost benefit and ROI analysis will be useful
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders at all levels
  • A strong client focus and the ability to build good relationships and engage with business leaders
  • Experience working in a matrix environment, with the agility to attend to multiple demands and shifting priorities, and deal with ambiguity and rapid change
