Job Purpose and Impact The HR Ops & Payroll Specialist will be responsible for Malaysia payroll operations including benefits administration. You will ensure the accurate & timely payroll payment in compliance with local employment laws, and be accountable for HR Operational excellence in data management, compliance and core people processes. In addition to payroll management, you will gain wider exposure to benefits administration, HR operations as well as projects aimed at digitizing and automating HR processes. Operating across a rapidly growing, complex, diverse region, you have the opportunity to work at your best and collaborate with regional HR teams. Key Accountabilities Responsible for end to end payroll process for all units in Malaysia Liaise actively with payroll vendor (ADP) and maintain good relationship Actively partnering with payroll provider and participate actively on benefits changes which will impact payroll and statutory Independently and timely solve payroll issues and enquires with minimal supervision. Ensure accurate payroll process for transfers and related activities Independently process payroll gross to net by applying appropriate statutory rules & regulations Manage monthly reconciliation of payroll and GL reports as well as managing accounting related enquiries Managing and coordinate payment of statutory on a timely basis Managing income tax clearance for local & foreign hire and year end activities involving tax reporting Ensure payroll set up meets legal and fiscal requirements and records are aligned to guidelines Responsible for payroll audit, this include both internal and external audit Analyze and review current payroll to improve methods and control implementation Manage the various statutory submissions, e.g Goverment-Paid Maternity Leave (GPML) scheme Partnering with country HR Ops Lead for day-to-day GHRS operations & Core HR projects Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in a related field or equivalent experience Minimum of two years of related work experience Other minimum qualifications may apply Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a human resources, finance or administration role Exposure to human resources tools and payroll applications - ADP/SAP payroll with knowledge of SSL creation/ loader is an added advantage Hands on experience in statutory submission includes the income tax filing i.e IR21, IR8A, CP21, 8E Previous experience in vendor management
