OverviewThis role is located in Malaysia.Company DescriptionOur client is one of the largest construction consultancy firms in Asia that specialises in providing services such as Building Design, Construction and Cost Management, Architecture and Master Planning, and Industrial and Process Engineering among others for projects including buildings, real estate, infrastructure, and oil and gas.The HSE Officer will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:Report directly to the HSE Manager. Review and understand the company OHS policy and procedures. Coordinate with the client\'s representative to resolve any OHS related issues. Carryout the required weekly toolbox meetings and Risk Assessment training as necessary. Submit HSE report and Safety Inspection Report on a monthly basis to project manager and head office.Advise supervisors and managers on ways to prevent injury to personnel, damage to plant and equipment, prevent fires, ways to improve existing work methods, and provide changes in the safety requirements. Notify site supervisors and foreman concerned of the unsafe conditions and following-up to ensure deviations and violations are timely addressed. Liaise with HSE Manager and project manager regarding any matters or issues relating to safety.Carry out incident and accident investigation and submit required reports to the client and head office. Perform periodic inspection of power tools and other equipment. Issue, implement, and monitor company permit to work system. Maintain minimum documentation required by HSE manager so that project site conforms to OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 requirements. Monitor housekeeping conditions and coordinate issues to the responsible supervisor or manager.Education and ExperienceThe ideal candidate must have a degree in any related discipline and have relevant HSE experience. Good knowledge in MS Office is needed. Will be required to travel in various sites/locations according to the set schedule.
