We are looking for a talented HSE Specialist OR Health and Safety Environmental Specialist to join our team in Puchong, Malaysia and this role is following Hybrid work model.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Builds relationships across functions. Demonstrates a commitment to driving a positive health, safety and environmental culture. Consults with employees and collects feedback to contribute to the development and implementation of programs, policies and procedures that will have a direct impact on an employee work environment.
• Supports hazard identification, environmental aspect identification and risk assessment programs, collecting and analysing data to identify potential projects, prioritizing using a risk-based data-driven approach. Tracks performance against project goals and timelines. Develops and maintains project related metrics, communicating project status to respective stakeholders.
• Leads projects from identification through implementation utilizing Cummins approved methodologies. Ensures continuous improvement throughout the site using the plan, do, check, act methodology. Works with cross-functional teams to define and implement innovative solutions to eliminate or reduce risk to as low as practical.
• Supports site(s) Health, Safety, Environmental Management Systems through participation in site audits. Utilizes health, safety and environmental data from legal compliance findings, and internal and external audit results to identify continuous improvement projects.
• Coaches\xe2\x80\x99 others on health, safety and environmental processes based on stakeholder feedback or observations.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Communicates effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
• Balances stakeholders - Anticipating and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders.
• Risk Assessment - Evaluates hazards within the work environment by applying hazard identification and risk assessment techniques to analyze and prioritize risk, enabling a selection of control measures that reduce risk as low as reasonably practicable.
• Health, Safety and Environment Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis - Examines HSE incidents by completing quality, evidence based investigations with accurate root cause analysis, resulting in effective corrective actions, accurate reporting and avoiding repeated incidents.
• Measurement and Evaluation of Health, Safety and Environment Performance - Collects and analyzes data by creating key performance indicators to evaluate performance trends, deliver improvement goals and objectives, inform strategy and protect employees and the environment.
• Optimizes work processes - Knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Influence the Health, Safety and Environmental Culture - Champions positive health and safety behaviours by influencing leaders and employees to create the right environment.
• Interpersonal savvy - Relating openly and comfortably with diverse groups of people.
• Courage - Stepping up to address difficult issues, saying what needs to be said.
• Demonstrates self-awareness - Using a combination of feedback and reflection to gain productive insight into personal strengths and weaknesses.

• Project Management - Establishes and maintains the balance of scope, schedule and resources for a temporary effort (a "project").

Education, Licenses, Certifications

• Demonstrated role competence is required. College, university, or equivalent Bachelor\'s degree in relevant health, safety or environmental discipline is preferred.

Experience

• Min experience 5 years required, including project management experience and 2 years of experience with Industrial Safety Standards preferred..
• Experiences on HSE Management Function in managing PowerGen Projects is preferred.
• Required good collaboration and follow up skills.
• Good communication skills
• Pro-active and have a sense of urgency.
