HEALTH, SAFETY, SECURITY & ENVIRONMENT (HSSE) MANAGER

(Based in HQ Setia Alam, Shah Alam, Selangor)

Job Summary:

Responsible for the company Health, Safety, Security and Environment, by assessing the risks and design strategies to reduce potential hazards. Responsible to upkeep and maintain facility infrastructure (including racking, CCTV, charging area, etc), quality certifications and regulatory compliance (e.g. fire cert and business license).

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain and implement company HSSE Policy in accordance with local authority requirements and Sinotrans corporate group policy and guidelines;
• Ensure HSSE procedures complies with client requirements in every facility/site and transport fleet;
• Conduct HSSE audits & risk assessments and take corrective action for non-compliance and prepare report for review and act as liaison for client\'s HSSE audits;
• Prepare and propose annual budget to be spent in HSSE initiatives for management approval;
• Responsible for any new quality certification or quality certificate renewal for every facility/site and transport fleet;
• Propose HSSE KPI targets and achievements to measure the compliance of company operations;
• Monitor the effective implementation of appropriate HSSE systems such as ISO 45001 OHSMS (Occupational Health and Safety Management System), OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Audit & Certification) or any HSSE requirements by customers.
• Develop the HSSE training plan, ensure all relevant staff attend, and measure the effectiveness of the training;
• Lead the investigation in accidents or any HSSE incidents and prepare report for management review and approval;
• Provide monthly HSSE statistics, identifying trends and suggesting improvement plans;
• Prepare HSSE related documentation for reporting to corporate office, client, or submission of RFPs/RFQs;
• Provide HSSE support and advice, including supervision on preparation of plans and procedures for initial contract start up activities;
• Any other job as assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• Bachelor in Engineering and OSHA Certification
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 Health Safety, ISO 14001 Environment
• Minimum 8 years with last 3 years at management level. Preferably with warehouse /logistics experience.
• Individual contributor role and may get an assistant later.
• Proficient in Mandarin (written & verbal)
• 5 day-work week

Salary RM10,000 - RM13,000, to commensurate with experience. Position reports to the Managing Director (for day-to-day operations, he will report to the General Manager, Contract Logistics Division for warehousing related matter)
