Our HSSE department in Port Klang, Malaysia is now looking for a HSSE Senior Advisor.

What will you be doing?

To facilitate and ensure compliance to the HSSE management system established which is in compliance with the legal and corporate HSSE requirements.

Advise and ensure that Aker Solutions and Client HSSE Management System are complied with at location.

Advise Line Management of any legislative requirements and make any recommendations necessary.

Lead on HSSE for Major Subsea Projects and others types of projects such as CAPEX drive projects onsite.

Provide technical and legal advise to the area/location of work in terms of HSSE scope, including all EPC stages of the work.

Engage with the local statutory bodies (DOSH, DOE, BOMBA etc.) to ensure compliance and updated site\'s knowledge on OSH related issues e.g. annual factory & machine inspection on lifting and pressurised equipment, incident reporting, occupational health programs etc

Identify, monitor and maintain safety training requirements and make any recommendations necessary.

Support and train on the use of HSSE tools such as Risk Assessment, tools in the Safe Working Essentials, Permit to work systems etc.

Disseminate information, lessons learnt and promote safety awareness to all employee and subcontractor.

Lead, participate and advise in investigations of accident, incidents, near miss and hazardous conditions. Ensure that all incidents are reported. Promote a healthy reporting culture.

Understand and analyse feedback such as provided by WorkSafe cards, dynamic risk assessment records to quantify trends on risk behaviours and conditions. Ensure that such tools are used as designed and look at improvement for making internal processes lean.

Support and develop HSSE plans and specific programs such as HSSE campaign, HSSE Day.

Coordinate the development of emergency exercises. Formulate a matrix to cover relevant scenarios which covers the companies proposed work scope.

Prepare HSSE weekly/monthly performance and statistic for inclusion into subject reports. To be submitted to HSSE Coordinator / HSSE Manager.

Develop, monitor and evaluate subcontractor HSSE Performance and plan for improvement.

Develop and monitor HSSE leading indicator as per Aker Solutions HSSE KPI Targets.

Carry out routine site inspection and pre start work HSSE requirement verification.

Deliver HSSE related training on required regulatory, corporate and site-specific topics.

We think you should have:

\xef\x82\xb7 Minimum a degree in Engineering or HSSE.

\xef\x82\xb7 Registered with DOSH as a Safety & Health Officer would be an advantage.

\xef\x82\xb7 Minimum 5 years\' experience in HSSE in the oil and gas industry.
