Join us as Hub Automation Technical Authority for the Process Automation Business Area where you will be leading technical expertise assignments of very high complexity. Contributing to the creation of the business strategy in technical expertise area and ensuring implementation. Conducting studies to identify opportunities for quality improvements for ABB products and services. Reporting to Hub Engineering Manager and this position will be based in Subang Jaya, Malaysia. This is a position with global grade 11 Your responsibilities Evaluating, selecting, and driving solution standardization and project execution strategy, taking ownership in resolution of reported challenges. Representing the organization at standardization committees and liaison with related individuals and organizations Preparing and presenting large iMAC/MEC type project execution strategy which would help in improving project OPEX and CAPEX costs to end-users, EPCs and consultants Representing Hub Asia in various customer events to promote ABB adaptive execution by means of early engagement workshops and presentations / demo Leading the adaptive project review discussions all the way from sales stage to execution, identify various adaptive enablers utilization in the project for most optimized project cost, align customers, regional technical authority and project team on benefits and ensuring implementation and tracking during execution Providing coaching and guidance to the local project teams, as needed to successfully execute the adaptive execution model on solution and service projects Reviewing and documenting quality standards, processes, tools, and techniques. Ensuring that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements Contributing towards continuous improvements of processes and tools for engineering efficiency. Driving solution standardization, taking ownership to resolving reported issues and maintaining close cross functional cooperation Supporting project team in evaluating project execution risks and opportunities, strategies, and follow-up on technical risk mitigation actions Your background Minimum bachelor\'s degree in any engineering discipline 15 years of engineering, troubleshooting, and commissioning experience on ABB\'s 800XA, S+ and other control system families with minimum of 5 years of experience in leadership role Well versed with various industrial protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, IEC61850, ProfNet, IEC101/103/104, networks, system architectures, Hardware etc. Well versed with emerging automation technologies and preferably competitors control systems Previous experience working in a highly diverse and multi-cultural environment, managing diverse team members of various nationalities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Benefits Life insurance Accident insurance Paid Parental leave (gender neutral) Sick pay More about us ABB Energy Industries is enabling safe, smart, and sustainable projects and operations for businesses across the oil, gas, chemicals, life sciences, power generation and water sectors.
