The Human Resource Assistant supports the daily functions of the HR department, including recruitment, onboarding, employee record-keeping, and HR administrative tasks. The role also assists in ensuring compliance with labor laws, HR policies, and procedures. This position plays a key supporting role in maintaining an organised and efficient HR environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment & Onboarding:
Assist in posting job advertisements, screening applications, and arranging interviews.
Prepare offer letters and employment contracts.
Conduct onboarding sessions and ensure new employee documentation is complete.
Maintain a smooth and professional new hire experience.
2. HR Administration & Documentation:
Maintain and update employee records, files, and HR database.
Process HR-related documentation such as confirmation letters, increment letters, and disciplinary records.
Track staff attendance, medical certificates, annual leave, and other entitlements.
Assist in updating staff handbooks and HR policies when required.
3. Payroll & Benefits Support:
Compile and submit monthly payroll data including attendance, overtime, and allowances.
Assist in the administration of employee benefits such as EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and medical claims.
Liaise with statutory bodies and vendors when necessary.
4. Employee Relations:
Assist in organising staff activities, training sessions, and company events.
Provide general support to staff regarding HR policies and procedures.
Help manage internal communications and staff notice boards.
5. Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure all HR practices comply with Malaysian labour laws and regulations.
Support HR audits and generate required reports as directed.
Keep confidentiality of employee records and sensitive information.
6. Additional Duties:
Carry out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the HR Manager or department head.
Provide administrative assistance to other departments when necessary under HR coordination.
Requirements & Skills:
Minimum Diploma in Human Resource Management or related field.
1-2 years of working experience in HR or administrative support preferred.
Familiarity with Malaysian labor law, payroll processes, and HR best practices.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Good organisational and multitasking skills.
Discreet, trustworthy, and able to maintain strict confidentiality.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
