Human Resource - Foreign Worker
to manage and coordinate all aspects of foreign worker administration, ensuring compliance with government regulations and supporting smooth operations across all branches.
Role Overview:
This role is ideal for an HR professional with hands-on experience in foreign worker management, work permit applications, and liaison with government agencies.As part of our HQ HR team, you'll oversee the recruitment, documentation, welfare, and compliance processes for our foreign workforce. If you have strong coordination skills, a meticulous eye for detail, and a passion for workforce management, we'd like to meet you.
Key Responsibilities
Foreign Worker Recruitment & Onboarding:
Manage pre-employment processes, including medical check-ups (FOMEMA) and accommodation arrangements.
Permit & Immigration Management:
Handle applications, renewals, and cancellations for work permits, calling visas, and PLKS (Pas Lawatan Kerja Sementara) in compliance with Immigration Department requirements.
Government Liaison:
Maintain strong working relationships with relevant authorities (Immigration, JTK, KDN, embassies) to ensure smooth processing of applications and adherence to legal requirements.
Documentation & Records:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date foreign worker records, including passport details, permit validity, insurance coverage, and personal information.
Accommodation & Welfare:
Oversee foreign worker housing arrangements, upkeep, and compliance with local council regulations. Address worker welfare concerns and ensure proper living conditions.
Compliance & Legal Requirements:
Ensure strict compliance with Malaysian labour laws, Employment Act, and regulations specific to foreign worker management. Prepare for and support audits by authorities.
Training & Orientation:
Conduct orientation sessions for new foreign workers, covering company policies, safety procedures, and workplace rules.
Disciplinary & Absenteeism Management:
Monitor attendance, handle misconduct cases, and coordinate disciplinary action in accordance with company policies.
Cross-Branch Coordination:
Work closely with HR representatives at other branches to standardise foreign worker management practices.
Who We're Looking For
Minimum 1 years of experience in foreign worker administration, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of immigration processes, labour laws, and foreign worker regulations in Malaysia.
Excellent organisational and communication skills, including ability to converse in Bahasa Malaysia and basic English (knowledge of foreign worker native languages is an added advantage).
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and document management.
Able to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
