Located in Bukit Jalil, an affluent suburb located within the southern corridor of Kuala Lumpur, The hotel will feature approximately 250 guestrooms, a three-meal restaurant, Large Ballroom and 4 meeting rooms and flexible event space, Rooftop restaurant, a fitness centre, and a sky pool We are currently looking for an experienced - Human Resource Manager- to join us in this exciting journey. This position reports directly to the hotel General Manager . Relating to people with ease is first nature to you. Associates from line level to senior manager seek your counsel because you\'re trustworthy, solution-minded, and knowledgeable. You maneuver conflict into problem solving and have a proven record of achieving department and business goals. As a Human Resources Manager, you\'ll have the opportunity to exercise your expert knowledge and showcase your talents as a critical member of the hotel management team. The ideal candidate will have experience in all areas of the Human Resource function. The position responsibilities include benefit administration, compensation, recruitment and retention, employee/labor relations, counseling, safety and training/development. The person will lead and manage the division. Your priority will be to ensure that the Hyatt Purpose is cultivated and practiced in the hearts and minds of all hotel associates ensure that we care for our guests so they can be at their best. An individual with an entrepreneurial spirit and a prominent member within the industry, you will be confident and driven in your approach. You are people and are known for your ability to communicate and negotiate at all levels, are detail orientated and must be able to constantly maintain high service standards and problem-solve with employees and guests. Must be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and be constantly hands on and ready to lend expertise within other departments of the hotel. Qualifications Key Qualifications and requirements: Demonstrate a passion and proven results for coaching and leading hotel team members to achieve team success Demonstrate your ability to share your knowledge by educating associates and managers. Employ your love of learning to coach, develop, and celebrate recognition. Educate associates on programs, help managers with Employee Relations matters, and create solutions out of conflict Previous hotel experience with hotel properties or serviced residences that have over 200 employees will be preferred. Previous hotel pre-opening experience in human resources, will be a significant added advantage Possess a Degree or Diploma in Tourism or Business or Human Resource Management. Be very well versed with Malaysian Labor Laws and practices and procedures. A minimum of 5 years or more work experience in a senior role within an international chain hotel human resource and have led a team of associates. Demonstrate the ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds Fluent in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia. The ability to converse in other languages will be an added advantage Demonstrate the ability to manage and lead hotel on-site accounting functions to ensure proper fiscal management, timely and accurate reporting and analysis for the hotel. This responsibility also includes hotel financial planning, budgeting, accounting and cash management Demonstrate a flair to review all monthly and annual financial statements. Investigate, review and analyze the variance explanations, with the ultimate aim of managing division expenses. Demonstrate the ability to sustain healthy retention. Plan and manage all aspects of talent acquisition. You enable an environment that\'s engaging, where motivated people want to join, learn, do their best, and advance. You model the way, by embracing and championing the culture, empowering, and coaching throughout the employment lifecycle. It is critical that you will be able to demonstrate an approach of firmness, yet being fair and impartial. As a key hotel leader, the Human Resource Manager must constantly be able to demonstrate key traits of - passion for people, speed in task completion and implementing decisions commercially sound decisions that benefit the great good of the work environment. Fluent in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia. The ability to converse in other local languages will be an added advantage. The candidate must be in current possession of valid working permit that is currently valid for Malaysia.
