The Human Resources (HR) Executive is responsible for managing the full spectrum of HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training & development, payroll coordination, and ensuring compliance with company policies and Malaysian labour laws. The role aims to support business growth by developing a strong workforce and maintaining a healthy work culture.
Key Responsibilities1. Recruitment & Onboarding
Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates.
Conduct screening, interviews, and coordinate with hiring managers for selection.
Prepare offer letters, employment contracts, and onboarding arrangements.
Ensure smooth integration of new employees through orientation programs.
2. Employee Relations & Engagement
Act as the main point of contact for employee grievances and conflict resolution.
Build positive workplace culture and organize engagement activities.
Conduct regular staff feedback sessions and report key findings to management.
3. HR Administration & Compliance
Maintain and update employee records, HR databases, and personnel files.
Manage attendance, leave applications, and disciplinary actions.
Ensure HR policies comply with Malaysian Employment Act, EPF, SOCSO, EIS and HRDF regulations.
4. Payroll Coordination
Work with finance/payroll team to ensure accurate and timely salary processing.
Handle employee claims, allowances, bonuses, and deductions.
5. Performance Management
Manage KPI tracking, appraisal processes, and confirmation reviews.
Monitor probation performance and prepare evaluation reports.
Assist in implementing reward and recognition programs.
6. Training & Development
Identify skills gaps and training needs.
Coordinate internal/external training programs.
Track training results and report on employee development.
7. HR Strategy & Continuous Improvement
Support management in workforce planning and HR budgeting.
Implement HR initiatives to improve retention and employee productivity.
Contribute ideas for organisational development, culture-building, and HR automation.
Requirements & Qualifications
Diploma/Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
Minimum 2-5 years of HR experience (depending on role seniority).
Strong knowledge of Malaysian labour law and statutory requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR management software is a plus.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
