Duties and Responsibilities * Directly responsible for defining with the management all Human Resources policies and to ensure their proper implementation throughout the organization.

  • Directly responsible to supervise all team member facilities and to ensure daily inspection to ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness.
  • Supervise all matters regarding the Team Member Cafeteria, inclusive of the selection of canteen operator, proper operation and control of the canteen and team member satisfaction.
  • Directly responsible for ensuring proper manning in each department based on the needs, for keeping up to date a list of candidates available.
  • Supervise recruitment process and ensure that recruitment done is based on the minimum standard of recruitment and psychological profile suited for the position.
  • Maintain an up-to-date grade table, salary matrix and benefit matrix of each team member based on their position as well as all benefits due as per hotel policies in line with the grade.
  • Implement and maintain an electronic database of past, current and potential (talent file) team members for recruitment purposes.
  • Prepare all employment contract for General Manager's signature and ensure that all employment is conforming to the local laws and the company's policies for the position.
  • Ensure to maintain an updated file for each team member currently working at Alila with both recruitment information, contract and all relevant information concerning the team member and his/her performance at Alila.
  • Ensure that all Personnel process and personnel action forms are done accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Prepare an annual Salaries and Benefits survey within the industry in order to recommend and assist the management in implementing adequate strategies.
  • Directly responsible for determining together with Department Heads, Financial Controller and General Manager manning control and the total payroll of the organization.
  • Ensure control of the payroll prepared by the Finance Department, and ensure on behalf of the management that the payroll is both accurate and paid timely.
  • Directly responsible for team member's engagement strategy. Conduct annual team member opinion survey when necessary, and recommend to the Executive Committee necessary action, to maintain both motivation and social climate at a very high level at all times.
  • Develop with the management and ensure implementation throughout the organization of proper management tools and process specific to Alila Bangsar KL.
  • Recommend changes in job titles, positions, grades with the management.
  • Ensure complete understanding, constant communication and implementation of the Hotel's mission statement and vision.
  • Ensure proper control, and payment with the Financial Controller of all matters relating to the team member's health benefit program.
  • Ensure that the Hotel is complying with all necessary licenses and work permits, including keeping up to date Visas and exit permits for all foreign workers.
  • Assist all Department Heads with the necessary expertise to harmonize professional and desired Human Resources processes throughout the organization.
  • Maintain an open door policy and counsel individual team members or Department Heads when required.
  • Conduct and follow with Security regular locker check.
  • Ensure to control proactively the discipline level of all team members in line with the team member's handbook and defined procedure.
  • Take the necessary disciplinary procedure with team members when necessary.
  • Ensure proper implementation of the team member assessment process and record.
  • Conduct exit interviews for all departing team members.
  • Work and assist the different team member committees to perform their duties in an open and trusting climate with the management.
Qualifications:
  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or equivalent
  • Experience in similar position or one position lower
  • Possesses people skills by approaching challenges / mistakes in a professional and objective manner
  • Possesses relevant administrative skills
  • Has a confident personality
