  • Perform Gap Analysis to identify non-compliance to the latest safety, health and environmental regulations and recommend actions to close the gaps.
  • To work closely with site by providing support and assistance in Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control exercise in all the site business activities.
  • Implement, monitor and report progress of Company\xe2\x80\x99s HSE related Operational Integrity KPIs.
  • Train, educate and ensure staffs use personal protective equipment (PPE), such as masks, respirators, protective eyewear, or hardhats, according to regulations.
  • To coordinate and conduct internal HSE related trainings e.g., HSE induction program on newly joined staffs, emergency drills (Fire, Radiation and Chemical Spill)
  • To conduct incident/accident investigation with HSE committee member in the case of fatality, loss time incident, property damage and near miss recommend corrective and preventive actions also consolidate accident/incident reporting and liaise with external bodies e.g., DOSH
  • To implement Emergency Response Plan (ERP) on the site under his/her responsibility.
  • Assist sites under his/her responsibility achieve IHSE KPI sets by OI Malaysia or OI Global.
  • To collect and compile all IHSE data including statistic of any accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning, occupational disease and also unsafe act unsafe condition.
  • Promote and raise awareness of all staffs on Health and Safety matters and follow-up poor practices and resolved.
  • Ensure that machinery and equipment comply with appropriate safety regulations, occupational health and safety specialists and technicians both may examine and test machinery and equipment.
  • To plan and coordinate the implementation of SGS industrial hygiene/ occupational hygiene plan for SGS staffs (e.g., chemical health risk assessment, medical surveillance program)
  • Conduct periodic visit to sites to inspect and audit staffs, offices, laboratories and infrastructures to ensure compliance with IHSE regulatory requirement, SGS Policy and procedures.
  • Adhere to SGS Code of Integrity and client confidentiality agreements. To assist IHSE Manager in writing, review and enhancing of IHSE Management System document including HSE Procedures and Manual in line with IHSE Objectives.
  • Assist IHSE Manager to compile HSE Statistics from all SGS Malaysia sites for corporate reporting on monthly basis and providing administrator support and follow up for IHSE Manager to prepare for all HSE related events.
  • Responsible for the overall implementation and maintenance of company\xe2\x80\x99s Occupational Safety Health Management System in relation to the ISO45001:2018 & ISO14001:2015
Qualifications
  • Professional Certificate or Diploma or Degree in HSE or equivalent
  • DOSH Green Book is added advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in managing Health, Safety and Environment system.
  • Has sound knowledge in legal requirements - OSHA, EQA, Fire Act
  • Good command of English & Bahasa Malaysia both written and communication.
  • Applicants must based in Bintulu, Sarawak
