Tools Specialist

with our reputed Client.

Work Location: KL

Contract role: 12 months contract

Exp: 5+ years

Job Overview:

Technical Skills

Experience administering, configuring, integrating and maintaining tools such as GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Copilot, Nexus Repository, GitHub Advanced Security (GHAS) and DevSecOps pipelines.

Strong understanding of Git, Git-based workflows, branching strategies, CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Copilot usage.

Proficient in CI/CD tools and automation using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or similar tools.

Practical experience integrating and managing security tools including GHAS, SAST, DAST and dependency scanning in CI/CD pipelines.

Strong knowledge of artifact management practices and tools like Nexus Repository.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving abilities with experience coordinating with vendors and support teams for L2/L3 support.

Effective in creating technical documentation, user guides and operational runbooks.

Able to train and mentor developers and others in secure coding, tool usage and DevOps best practices.

Experience designing dashboards and reports for tool visibility, adoption, performance and compliance tracking.

Demonstrates a collaborative, proactive approach with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.

Strong analytical, technical and problem solving abilities.

Ability to work cross-functionally with Development, QA, DevOps, Security and Governance teams.

Excellent communication skills with proficiency in English, strong interpersonal skills and clarity in documentation.

Skilled in managing multiple priorities, projects and deliverables under pressure.

Self-starter with a proactive attitude and strong ownership.

Customer-centric mindset with a focus on delivering reliable and secure services.

Critical thinker capable of analyzing complex processes and proposing actionable solutions.

Strong knowledge of version control systems, deployment automation and build configurations.

Committed to continuous learning to keep pace with evolving technologies and practices.

Certifications:

GitHub Foundations or GitHub Administration Certification (or equivalent experience).

DevOps/DevSecOps certifications such as Certified DevOps Engineer or DevOps Foundation.

ITIL Foundation Certification for process alignment and IT service management.

Agile-related certifications (e.g. Scrum Master).

CI/CD pipeline tool certifications.
