Position Summary



The Income Auditor is responsible for verifying, balancing, and auditing all revenue generating activities of the hotel to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with hotel policies and accounting standards. This role ensures that daily revenue reports are accurate and that any discrepancies are investigated and resolved promptly.

Key Responsibilities



1. Daily Revenue Audit



Audit and verify all daily revenue transactions for Rooms, F&B outlets, Spa, and other hotel revenue centers. Ensure POS and PMS reports match with actual postings. Check voids, discounts, rebates, refunds, and complimentary transactions for proper approvals. Reconcile credit card transactions and verify successful settlement. Ensure all supporting documents are attached and properly filed.

2. Reports & Documentation



Prepare the Daily Revenue Report (DRR) and distribute to management. Ensure accurate recording of revenues into the accounting system. Review and maintain proper documentation for all revenue adjustments. Assist in the preparation of month-end closing reports related to income.

3. Compliance & Control



Ensure compliance with hotel SOPs, internal controls, and financial policies. Identify revenue leakage, irregularities, or non-compliance issues and highlight to management. Work closely with Front Office, F&B, and other departments to verify transactions and resolve discrepancies.

4. Cashier & Credit Control Support



Audit house banks and cash floats periodically. Verify daily cashier reports and bank deposits. Assist in ensuring proper handling of credit card disputes and chargebacks. Support Accounts Receivable with billing verification if required.

5. System & Process Improvement



Maintain knowledge of PMS, POS, and accounting systems (e.g., Opera, Micros). Recommend improvements to financial controls and auditing processes. Support new system implementations or updates related to revenue management.

Qualifications & Requirements



Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field. Minimum 1-2 years of finance or auditing experience, preferably in hospitality. Strong analytical and numerical skills. Good knowledge of hotel operations and revenue cycles is an advantage. Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Opera and Micros is preferred. High attention to detail and strong integrity.
