Industrial Engineer

Job description

This semiconductor company in Melaka is seeking an Industrial Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Optimization: Identify areas for improvement within semiconductor manufacturing processes and develop strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase overall production quality.
• Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to manufacturing performance, including cycle times, yield rates, and equipment utilization. Use statistical methods to drive data-driven decision-making.
• Capacity Planning: Collaborate with production planning teams to ensure optimal utilization of resources and equipment, taking into account production demands and lead times.
• Lean Manufacturing: Implement lean principles and techniques such as Six Sigma, 5S, and value stream mapping to streamline operations and eliminate bottlenecks.
• Process Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of manufacturing processes, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to identify root causes of production issues and develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Equipment Maintenance: Work with maintenance teams to schedule and perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
• Cost Analysis: Analyze production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction through process improvements and resource optimization.
• Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that manufacturing processes meet industry standards and customer requirements.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure that all manufacturing processes and equipment adhere to safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field (Master\'s degree preferred).
• Proven experience in Industrial engineering within semiconductor manufacturing or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and statistical analysis software.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with CAD software is a plus.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in manufacturing.
