Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we\xe2\x80\x99re looking to add a Industrial Engineer located in Bukit Minyak, Penang.

Reporting to the Manager, the Industrial Engineer is responsible for increasing productivity through the management of workers, methods of business organization, and technology to solve organizational, production, and related problems efficiently.

What a typical day looks like:

• Production capacity planning and manpower resource planning.
• Provide process time estimation to the quote team.
• Perform time and motion analysis to support production standards.
• Assist with capital improvement projects, including additional production lines or increased work volume and develop estimates for the equipment, systems, and personnel needed to compete various projects.
• Analyzes current operating plan to determine opportunities for improving the operations process and workflow.
• Develop work measurement to optimize operating plan.
• Develops solutions to operational issues and provides recommendations to improve operations.
• Simulate process, materials and manufacturing workflow and gives input to process engineer by using IE tools.
• Develop new product floor plan, labor requirement and estimate product capacity with customer to meet the marketing strategy planning.
• Design control systems to coordinate activities and production planning in order to ensure that products meet quality standards.
• Design the DL learning curve to estimate new capacity models during mass production.
• Develop the DL standard time to measure their work efficiency in order to meet production capacity.
• Work IE model for new RFQ, and Manufacturing cost study.
• Analyze workforce utilization and facility utilities.
• Review production schedules, engineering specifications, process flows, and other information to understand methods that are applied and activities that take place in manufacturing and services.
• Recommend methods to improve worker efficiency and reduce waste of materials and utilities, such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing work flow, relocation work stations and equipment and purchase of equipment.
• Workshop space strategy plan; Factory material flow and people flow design.
• New project setup plan and production line setup.

The experience we\xe2\x80\x99re looking to add to our team:

• Typically requires a Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent experience and training.
• Typically requires 4 years of experience in engineering in the high technology electronics industry or related area.
