Reporting to the manager, this full-time and permanent position is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our compliance department and its\' growth.The Information Security Officer at Vistra will play a pivotal role in implementing and managing the company\'s information security strategies globally, focusing on Business Continuity Management, Disaster recovery, and Business Impact Analysis to ensure robust security across all systems and applications. This position is central to ensure Vistra\'s adherence to its Group Information Security and Business Continuity Policy & Standards, while also being the primary contact for information security within the organisation and driving the continuous improvement of security practices.Key responsibilities:

• Implement and manage information security strategies across Vistra by focusing on Asia region.
• Adhere to the global security procedures while adapting to regional needs
• Work with the global information security team and regional stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain BCM, DR and BIA processes by using existing frameworks, including DORA and by conducting annual effectiveness test.
• Identify and mitigate information security risks by analysing using past precedents and implement mitigation strategies.
• Support audit activities and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Raise security awareness and conduct training by developing engaging programs as per regional needs.

Key Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of work experience in the field of Information Security, Business Continuity Management, or a related area is required
• A bachelor\'s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is required.
• Certification in at least one of the following: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or ISO27001 Lead Auditor.
• Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of information security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, or similar.
• Proficiency or certification in project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) could be beneficial, given the role\'s potential involvement in project-based work.
• Ability to identify risks and vulnerabilities and devise effective mitigation strategies.
• Strong ability to articulate security policies, risks, and advice effectively to various audiences.
• Ability to lead by example, influence security best practices, and promote a culture of security awareness.
• Skilled in addressing complex security issues with innovative solutions.
• Can adapt to rapidly changing threat landscapes and business needs.
