Job Summary

The IT Manager will be based in Prai, Penang. This position is to lead the overall Penang IT servers/databases and critical production systems support to meet business needs. Day-to-day operational hold up and service delivery of the IT infrastructure by monitoring and acknowledging to IT Infrastructure incidents through the incident tracking system.

Here is a glimpse of what you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

• To lead IT infrastructure operations team and oversee the IT data center, server, storage, backup, and network infrastructures within the company, while provide continuously improvement by leveraging with the latest technologies.
• Provide leadership, management and expertise required to ensure quality and on-time and on-budget delivery of IT projects through mentoring and motivating IT personnel.
• Lead and manage IT personnel and ensure their professional and personal development necessary to meet the requirement of their roles.
• Work closely with support team to provide database life cycle support for mission critical SQL Server databases using various DB tools and techniques.
• Improve performance of databases and ensure systems & processes are compliant with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Lead and advice on the IT infrastructures, asset, and system implementations for the company future projects.
• Project management responsibilities include delivering projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Oversee the IT infrastructure KPI and monitor its performance and conformance.
• Establish proper management of all IT infrastructures and assets and ensure business disruption is being well mitigate and minimize as well as business continuity and disaster recovery plans.

Here are a few of our preferred experiences:

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or any relevant discipline.
• At least 10 years of working experience in related field and preferably with manufacturing exposure.
• Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience of IT management, application systems and its IT infrastructure including of server computing, cloud computing, LAN & WAN network, security, etc.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with leaders in different business divisions and department, and at different level of organization.
• Well-versed in current technological trends and familiar with a variety of business concepts.
• Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.
• Understanding of budgets and business-planning.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work off working hour whenever necessary.
