Job Requirement: \xe2\x80\xa2 Candidate must be a registered IOW with Board of Engineer Malaysia. \xe2\x80\xa2 Candidate must be a registered with CIDB Malaysia and carry the Green Card. \xe2\x80\xa2 Candidate must possess at least Diploma in Civil/Structural/ Engineering or equivalent. \xe2\x80\xa2 At least 5 years of working experience in the supervision of civil / structure / infrastructure. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to conduct and coordinate site inspection. \xe2\x80\xa2 Self-motivated and is able to work independently. \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment. \xe2\x80\xa2 Self-starter, proactive, diligent and ability to work in a team. \xe2\x80\xa2 Willing to work in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur. \xe2\x80\xa2 Willing to work 6 days a week and weekends, as and when required. \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent verbal and written Bahasa Malaysia and English skills; \xe2\x80\xa2 Full-Time Position. \xe2\x80\xa2 Has own transportation. Job Responsibility: \xe2\x80\xa2 Carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance to the Board of Engineer\xe2\x80\x99s Malaysia requirement as the Qualified Inspector of Work (IOW) for the supervision of the civil and structural works. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure appropriate and consistent documentation of inspection and test, to be in conformance with regulations set forth by Building Control Act and Regulations \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure that the Contractor\xe2\x80\x99s work is supervised at all times and that the work is carried out in accordance with the Construction Drawings and Specifications \xe2\x80\xa2 To fully understand the Construction Drawings and Specifications. \xe2\x80\xa2 Liaise with the discipline engineers on the review and approval of design calculations and drawings \xe2\x80\xa2 To keep daily site dairies and complete daily reports. \xe2\x80\xa2 Checking the works and results of material testing \xe2\x80\xa2 To ensure that inspections called for by the Contractor are carried out promptly and the prescribed form are used. \xe2\x80\xa2 To give special attention to matters concerning public safety and health, e.g. mud on the roads, signing and lighting at the work location, etc. \xe2\x80\xa2 To carry out joint survey with the Contractor\xe2\x80\x99s surveyor for interim payment \xe2\x80\xa2 To counter check alignment after the establishment of reference points and temporary benchmark. \xe2\x80\xa2 To keep all site records and information pertaining to joint survey levels for final measurement. \xe2\x80\xa2 To monitor the quality of Contractor\xe2\x80\x99s material and ensure proper usage of materials supplied to the site. \xe2\x80\xa2 To keep records of test sheet results concreting works, earthworks, pavement works, etc. \xe2\x80\xa2 To maintain and confirm daywork records with the Contractor. \xe2\x80\xa2 To maintain detailed records, measurement, supervise, monitor and confirm result of testing on site. \xe2\x80\xa2 To constantly monitor, check and record construction levels for each segment of the works. \xe2\x80\xa2 To check and record the quality of Contractor\xe2\x80\x99s materials and to ensure proper usage of materials supplied to the site. \xe2\x80\xa2 To keep records of quality tests on concreting works, earthworks, pavement works, etc. \xe2\x80\xa2 To amend construction drawings to \xe2\x80\x9cas-built\xe2\x80\x9d drawings for final submission. \xe2\x80\xa2 To keep a full inventory of intermediates on site for all construction/ \xe2\x80\x9cas-built\xe2\x80\x9d drawings. \xe2\x80\xa2 To prepare all monthly reports, notes, correspondences to all relevant parties. \xe2\x80\xa2 To maintain a proper filing system for all site records, reports and correspondences. \xe2\x80\xa2 To keep attendance records, leave, medical etc. \xe2\x80\xa2 To counter check original ground level if necessary. \xe2\x80\xa2 Report to on any suspected unsuitable material. \xe2\x80\xa2 Constantly monitor the ground profile. \xe2\x80\xa2 To supervise the tests especially compaction test. \xe2\x80\xa2 To counter check the final finished level.
