Our client (OK Tedi Mining Limited) has an exciting opportunity for the following positions within the Mill Processing Department. INSTRUMENTATION SPECIALIST PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

• To be responsible to the Engineering and Projects department by carrying out the daily tasks allocated to them by their Manager or task leads and deliver the Instrumentation construction/commissioning activities as directed by their manager or task lead
• The incumbent therefore must possess and display initiative, judgement and capability of supervising and leading work crews in line with the Engineering and Projects controls and policies

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREA 1. Health and Safety

• Maintain a culture of safety awareness underpinned by an understanding of the principles of duty of care
• Support the establishment of a culture of safety awareness within the department and the contractor workforce. Ensure that all safe work procedures and risk assessments are adequately addressed
• Ensuring all members of work crew understand the hazards and controls detailed in the JSA as well as involving work crew in development and review of JSAs
• Ensure all work crews are signed onto the required JSA for the task and team members are adhering through continual task monitoring

2. Construction/ Commissioning

• Responsible for participating in Construction & Commissioning activities and providing prompt, reliable and effective services to the construction team
• As a specialist crew member they must carry out work that is compliant to project requirements and keep current their qualifications and competencies for the tasks.
• Collaborate with the work crew, supervisor and leading hands providing input into daily work tasks including, JSEA\xe2\x80\x9fs, Toolbox Meetings, Job Pre-Start Meetings and Hazard ID\xe2\x80\x9fs
• Ensures work is carried out to ASNZS3000 and applicable site standards and specifications
• Responsible for participating in commissioning activities and providing Technical Support to Instrumentation and Controls Teams
• Management of completions systems for Instrumentation and Controls Teams and document management system.
• Complete QA\\QC \\ ITP checks sheets
• Prepare & As-Built Instrument Data Sheets
• Assist with the handover of instrument documentation to operations.
