\xe2\x80\xa2 Maintaining knowledge of current laws affecting insurance policies and practices in order to ensure compliance with all regulations \xe2\x80\xa2 Work with embassies and local governments for medical repatriations \xe2\x80\xa2 Act as a clinical / medical interpreter between medical practitioner and patient \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintaining knowledge of healthcare systems and guidelines \xe2\x80\xa2 Processing claims for coverage of losses resulting from damage to property or death of individuals \xe2\x80\xa2 Reviewing rate proposals from insurance companies to ensure that they are fair and reasonable \xe2\x80\xa2 Processing new applications for insurance policies and updating customer records \xe2\x80\xa2 Conducting investigations into insurance claims to determine liability and damages \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitoring claims payments to ensure that they are accurate and made in a timely manner \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitoring policy holder claims history to identify trends that may indicate fraudulent activity by customers
