Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Intern to join our finance team, with a primary focus on budgeting activities. This internship will provide you with hands-on experience in budget preparation, analysis, and monitoring. As a Finance Intern, you will play a key role in supporting our budgeting processes, ensuring accuracy and helping to drive informed financial decision-making.Key Responsibilities:Budget Preparation: Assist in the preparation of departmental and company-wide budgets by gathering and organizing financial data.Data Analysis: Analyze historical financial data to identify trends and inform budget projections.Variance Analysis: Help in tracking actual expenditures against the budget and preparing variance analysis reports.Forecasting: Support the finance team in updating forecasts based on current financial performance and anticipated changes.Cost Analysis: Assist in reviewing and analyzing costs to help identify opportunities for cost savings.Report Generation: Prepare and update budget reports, charts, and graphs for internal meetings and presentations.Budget Adjustments: Help in making necessary adjustments to budgets as directed by the finance team.Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date budget documentation, ensuring all relevant data is properly recorded.Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in special projects related to budgeting, including scenario analysis and financial modeling.Qualifications:Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google SheetsBasic understanding of budgeting principles and financial forecasting.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.Experience: Previous experience or coursework in finance, accounting, or budgeting is advantageous but not required.Learning Outcomes:Gain practical experience in budgeting and financial planning.Develop skills in financial analysis, variance reporting, and forecasting.Learn how to manage and monitor budgets in a corporate environment.Enhance your ability to interpret financial data and present findings to stakeholders.
