Job Overview

As a Procurement Intern at Enerxite, you will support the procurement department in ensuring efficient and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. This role will give you exposure to real-world procurement operations in a dynamic industrial / business setting.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the full procure-to-pay (P2P) process: from requisition, quotations, purchase orders (PO), to invoice processing. Help source and evaluate potential suppliers: request for information (RFI), request for quotation (RFQ), and supplier evaluation. Monitor and follow up on orders, delivery schedules, and ensure timely delivery. Maintain procurement and vendor databases, documentation, contracts, purchase orders, and other records. Support cost-analysis or cost-saving initiatives, compare vendor pricing, negotiate minor terms (under supervision). Assist in contract management: tracking contract milestones, renewals, terms & conditions. Coordinate with internal departments (e.g. operations, finance, logistics) to understand materials requirements and resolve any procurement-related issues. Perform market research on suppliers, products, and pricing trends. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, ethical sourcing, and quality standards. Support ad hoc procurement or supply chain projects as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements

Currently enrolled in a Diploma or Bachelor's degree related to Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Engineering, or other relevant field. Basic understanding of procurement / purchasing processes. Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks. Strong communication skills (written & verbal) in English; knowledge of Bahasa Malaysia is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Familiarity with ERP or procurement software is an advantage. Able to work both independently and as part of a team. Analytical mindset; willingness to learn and adapt. Integrity and professionalism in handling vendor relationships and confidential information.
