Job Description


Main Purpose of the Role:

Plan, develop and control all aspects of inventory and warehouse management system for company petroleum production operations and other activities i.e. drilling and projects to ensure they are managed prudently and effectively in line with industry best practices and in compliance with the company Policies, Procedures and Guidelines.

Primary Duties:

  • Develop, roll-out, train and implement standard operating procedures for material management process in-line with the Petrofac (Malaysia-PM304) Limited (PML) business requirement and in-compliance with PETRONAS procedures (PPS and PPGUA) to ensure material management is carried out in prudent and effective manner.
  • Develop, measure, and monitor annual performance and resource plan for the team, ensuring that all enablers required for delivery are available.
  • Implement and communicate Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) plan, KPI and any related HSE campaign for KSB to ensure operation are being conducted in safe manner and meeting the stakeholder\xe2\x80\x99s requirement.
  • Plan, develop and deliver key measurements for performance delivery in-line with the management\xe2\x80\x99s KPI to meet the safety, production operations, project, drilling requirement and staff development.
  • Plan and execute annual stocktake activity covering all inventory locations to ensure activities are being carried out as per schedule and that all discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Prepare, develop and submit Annual Inventory Review Report to for management\xe2\x80\x99s approval and PETRONAS review and record.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement for warehouse and material management including the accountability for managing the outsourced service providers performance in accordance with their respective contracts and to the satisfaction of PML operational requirements.
  • Promotes compliance with Petrofac\'s Code of Conduct to ensure peers and subordinates uphold Petrofac\xe2\x80\x99s values in conducting daily works.
  • Develop, implement and monitor annual budget for warehouse and inventory to ensure all operational requirements are met and within the approved budget.
  • Liaise with relevant personnel from Line Departments to ensure timely close out of all audit (JV, PSC, Procurement and Internal Audit etc.) recommendations.
  • Reviews personnel performance and manage interventions as required
  • Sets in place leading measures that are preventative in nature and enable maximized ongoing contribution to the PML goals
  • Developing and delivering team and individual scorecards
  • Accountable for all team management and leadership aspects
  • Responsibility for employee development and career guidance.
  • Ensures implementation of best practices within team
  • Coordinate the efficient and effective utilisation of the ERP System (Oracle) throughout KSB. Identify process improvements to be implemented.
  • Administrator of Inventory module for Oracle
  • Leading, developing and coaching subordinates in understanding their roles and responsibilities to meet daily operational requirements while optimizing the manpower within budget. Subordinates would be given the opportunity to search and attend the relevant trainings within the approved budget related to their daily job to attain high skill level in addition to the trainings provided by Human Resource for staff development.
Technical Experiences and Desired Skills:
  • At least a Degree in Supply Chain & Warehouse Management, Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 8-10 years relevant experience in a line function role with 3-5 years of managerial experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Leadership ability.
  • The ability to motivate staff.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and interests.
